Description

Beschreibung description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Bearbeitungszentrum nach dem Oberbegriff des Patentanspruchs 1The invention relates to a machining center according to the preamble of patent claim 1
A universal machine tool is known from German patent application 100 43 973.0-14, in which a tool magazine is provided on the side of the workpiece carrier facing away from the workpieces. When producing small batch sizes, the tool magazine for the exchange of tools should be replaced together with the workpiece carrier in pick-up mode. In the case of large series production, the magazine remains in the machine. Machining centers are often used universally. For example, it is required to process several identical recurring workpieces one after the other on the same machine and then to process non-recurring different individual workpieces. In order to be able to meet different requirements, the tool magazine in the described solution has to be converted in a time-consuming manner. In addition, the joint handling of dirty workpiece carriers and tool magazines can lead to problems in keeping the tool cones clean. From the patent specification DE 4422416 C1, a self-loading machining center is known in which the workpiece clamping device is designed as a gripper. The workpiece is also suspended in this solution. The special features of the concept relate to the self-loading function of the machine. The machine bed is very complex. A separate frame and a changer are also required for the tool magazine.
Dry machining centers are known from the general state of the art, in which the chip removal in the work space is to be improved with complex constructive means.
The new invention is therefore based on the object of creating a horizontal low-cost machining center by eliminating previously required components while at the same time maintaining the functionalities. According to the invention the object is achieved by the features of claim 1 by connecting a two-part tool disk magazine to the axis of rotation of a hanging workpiece carrier. This eliminates the need for a magazine rack, a separate tool changer and a control axis for the separate rotary drive of the disk magazine.
The interchangeability of the half-disc magazines ensures the rapid external exchange of the tools, especially since the magazine can be moved together with the workpiece holder via the vertical travel axis of the machine to an ergonomically favorable height position for the operator.
If several machining centers are to be linked, automatic handling of the tool magazines and workpiece carriers, which are arranged very close together, is ideal from the front of the machine. In comparison to conventional flexible manufacturing systems, no different handling devices for tools and workpieces have to be used in the selected machine construction. An inexpensive articulated arm robot in the center of a machine group would be sufficient.
The hanging arrangement of the workpiece carrier also ensures optimal chip evacuation and the one-piece monobloc bed, on which all the guides relevant for machine accuracy are located, meets the demand for cost-effective production of the machine.
Details of the invention are explained in more detail from the following description of the preferred embodiment with reference to the drawings.

Fig. 7 is a top view of a flexible, rotary transfer machine, which is composed of three machining centers.
Guides for the vertical slide (2), which holds the workpiece carrier (3a, b) and the tool storage, are arranged on the front of the one-piece, box-shaped machine bed (1). The machine bed (1) is supported by two columns (19). A rotatable table top (6) is flanged with its bearing housing (5) on the vertical slide (2). This table top (6) has milled surfaces (7) on the circumference for fastening brackets for two interchangeable half-disk magazines (8a, b). The half-disk magazines (8a, b) are provided with coupling elements (20) which snap into suitable counterparts on the holders of the table top (6). Tools (9), preferably in plastic pliers (10) which are open at the bottom, are stored in the half-disk magazines (8a, b), aligned horizontally. On its underside, the table top (6) has coupling elements for receiving a workpiece carrier (3a, b). The housing in which it is accommodated is moved on a cross slide (12) parallel to the axis of rotation of the work spindle (13). The longitudinal guides (11) for this cross slide (12) are arranged on the underside of the machine bed (1). In this way, the cross slide (12) executes the longitudinal movement when machining workpieces (14). The central traversing position of the cross slide (12) is the tool change position. To change the tool, the work spindle (13) executes a transverse movement in its rearmost position on the cross slide (12). The vertical slide (2) moves with the tool storage and the workpiece carrier (3a, b) into a lower position, as a result of which the horizontally aligned tools (9) in the half-disk magazines (8a, b) reach the transfer position to the work spindle (13). Since the tools (9) are arranged in a star shape with outward-pointing receiving cones (15) around the axis of rotation of the table top (6), all storage positions of the table tops can be rotated by rotating the table top (6) and the half-disk magazines (8a, b) connected to it Tools (9) are brought into the transfer position to the work spindle (13). By moving the work spindle (13) forward, the receiving cone (15) of a tool (9) is received in the work spindle (13) and then automatically clamped. As the vertical slide (2) then moves upwards, the clamped tool (9) is pulled out of its plastic pliers (10), which are open at the bottom, of the half-disk magazine (8a, b). The tool change time is very short because the tool storage is very close to the workpieces (14) attached to the workpiece carriers (3a, b). The external change of half-disk magazines (8a, b) takes place by pulling them out of their coupling elements (20) laterally. This can be done manually. For this purpose, handles must be provided on the base body of the half-disk magazines (8a,). However, the exchange is also possible with a handling robot (21).
Workpieces (14) are changed by moving the vertical slide (2) to a lowermost position - lower than the tool change position - and bringing a carrier (16) on the workpiece carrier (3a, b) into engagement with the pallet changer (17). The workpiece carrier (3a), which still hangs on the table top (6), is locked, for example with a bolt, on the driver fist (18) of the pallet changer (17). Then the coupling elements integrated in the table top (6) release the workpiece carrier (3a), the vertical slide (2) moves in a top position and the pallet changer (17) rotates about its horizontal axis. In this way, a new workpiece carrier (3b), which was stored in an upward-facing position in the machine operator's access area in front of the machine, is turned upside down and made available in the machine below the vertical slide (2), in order to then use the coupling elements of the table top ( 6) to be excited.
Several machining centers without a pallet changer (17) can be set up in a circle and operated centrally with a handling robot (21). The handling robot (21) then changes both workpiece carriers (3a, b) and tool magazines (8a, b) preferably on the front of the machine and makes them available to the operator at the set-up station.
A line arrangement of the machining centers is also conceivable. In this case, the handling robot (21) would have to be arranged to be movable on rails.
