Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de pile à combustible comprenant une pile à combustible à oxyde solide (22) et une deuxième pile à combustible (24) assurant une réaction de production électrique à une température inférieure à 250 °C. Dans un système de pile à combustible à oxyde solide classique, un gaz combustible brut de type gaz naturel est mélangé avec un gaz recyclé en tant que partie de gaz combustible de réaction après la réaction de production électrique dans la pile à combustible à oxyde solide (22), puis passé dans un réacteur de modification de qualité (30) avant d'être fourni à la pile à combustible à oxyde solide (22). La force électromotrice pour un coefficient d'utilisation de combustible élevé étant théoriquement faible, subsistent les problèmes du maintien entre 80 et 85 % du coefficient d'utilisation du gaz combustible brut, et du maintien du rendement de la production électrique à un faible niveau. Selon l'invention, le gaz combustible de réaction non utilisé pour le recyclage dans le système classique de pile à combustible à oxyde solide est fourni à un convertisseur de monoxyde de carbone (32) puis fourni à un côté combustible de la deuxième pile à combustible (24), pour permettre d'assurer la réaction de production électrique alors que le coefficient d'utilisation de gaz combustible brut dans la pile à combustible à oxyde solide est fixé entre 65 et 80 %, ce qui permet de maximiser l'efficacité de la production électrique.
