Abstract
A main cooling cycle (S1a) comprising a compressor (1), condenser (2), liquid receiver (3), subcool condenser (4), valve (37), main expansion valve (5), and an evaporator (6) has a parallel connection of a first branch refrigerant piping (7). This piping (7) is provided with a subexpansion valve (8) and motor and generator 9 so constituted that the refrigerant can circulate. A subcool cycle (S1b) is so formed as to share a part of the main cool cycle (S1a). The motor and generator (9) is cooled by the refrigerant circulating through the subcool cycle (S1b).
