Abstract

L'invention concerne un instrument chirurgical utilisé pour distracter des disques vertébraux, comprenant une extrémité de poignée, une extrémité de pointe, et une paire d'éléments allongés, chacun d'eux possédant des éléments de préhension situés au niveau de la poignée et des mâchoires situées au niveau de l'extrémité de pointe. Lesdits éléments sont reliées pivotant. Cet instrument comprend également un mécanisme de sollicitation servant à pousser les mâchoires l'une vers l'autre, et un mécanisme d'encliquetage permettant de maintenir les mâchoires écartées, à des distances prédéterminées. L'extrémité de poignée de l'instrument est, de préférence, décalée par rapport à l'extrémité de pointe, et les mâchoires peuvent également être décalées par rapport à ladite pointe.
