Abstract

The seat-lifter is mounted transverse on the underside of the toilet-seat/lid. The mounting part (D) is 5-8 cm long and constructed in thin flexible e.g. between 0,4 mm to 0,7 mm non-hardened metal or 0,4 to 0,8 mm flexible plastic - which is a material that can be formed after the underside of the any toilet-seat/lids and be re-formed again if necessary. The seat-lifter can be mounted anywhere on all toilet-seats/lids and be removed and adapted to another form. The seat-lifter has a handle that is made as an extension of mounting part (D) and is lifted above the mounting part (D). The seat-lifter has a protection plate (C), which protects the handle against splash from the toilet sink. The seat-lifter for toilet-lids is without a protection plate (C). The seat lifter can be mounted anywhere on a toilet-seat/lid also on a toilet-seat/lid with a flat underside.

Description

TOILET SEAT AND LID HANDLE
The utility of the invention:
The toilet seat lifter is a handle device to raise the seat up and down. It can be attached to anywhere on any type of toilet seats regardless of their design of the underside of the seats. In this way the toilet seat or the upper lid can be raised and lowered without touching the seat and upper lid itself.
The technical point of view:
In America the following patent numbers for toilet seat lifter are well know; US393560, US3717884, US2758315. The problem with these lifters is that they are designed for toilet seats that have a flat surface on the underside of the seat and they can only be used for the conventional toilet seats of older models that are mostly made of wooden material. (Refer. us3935601 column 1 line 60-61, column 2 line 9, column 3 line 51-52, column 5 line 24-25 and no. us3717884 column 1 line 34, line 41 and no. usl999555 column 1 line 40-41 and us2758315 column 1, line 24.The disadvantage with these seat lifters is that they are supposed to be screwed in the toilet seats. This makes their use impossible for the modern toilet seats, which are manufactured mostly in the pressalit (cast, pressed and hardened plastic). In addition to that, these lifters are not suitable for the existing toilet seats, which have various shapes or the profiles of the underside of the seats. Those seat-lifters would f rthermore when attached with adhesive pads on modern toilet-seats quickly fall off, partly because of the shape of the mounting part and partly because of the toilet-seat lifters mainly inflexible materiel. The most characteristic disadvantage with the known patents is as mentioned above that they cannot be mounted on all toilet-seats anywhere on the underside of the toilet-seat, of the reason that undersides of toilet-seats has very different form/profile and therefore demands a very flexible and thin materiel which at the same time are strong and shapes in a way that it can tolerate a lift/pressure up- and downwards. In patent no. us3935601 is mentioned the plastic materiel as varying in flexibility, but here is meant in general that plastic can be flexible. The form on the mounting part on this patent do not suit new toilet-seats/lids, as the form/profile on these makes it impossible for this invention to be stabile mounted as the mounting part on this patent is described. The patent also says that it is shaped for mounting on toilet-seats that has a flat underside. Furthermore the plastic on this patent is too thick and rigidly cast plastic on the mounting part to be mounted on a non-flat form/profile. Furthermore the screws cannot be mounted to "Pressalit" and an adhesive pad cannot last when the mounting of the lifter is made lengthwise the side of the toilet-seat on a small surface. When flexibility is mentioned it is considered as a general referring to the ability of plastic, ability most plastic has, - depending of dimension and of which pressure it is exposed of. Furthermore the patent wo9111949 is known. This patent is alike the present patentapp. Partly on the design of the handle, and partly because on its ability also to be mounted on the toilet-lid. This patent is also solely constructed to flat conventional toilet-seats. This patent is without splashguard. Furthermore the patent no. us4920586 is known. This patent looks alike the present patentapp. On the handle, but is without splashguard and flexibility demanded when it is to be mounted on up- and downwards moving and varying forms/profiles on the underside of a toilet-seat and lid. The flexibility here moves more towards and adaptation to the toilet-seat form in width and angle lengthwise and not up- and downward and varying on the underside of the toilet-seat. The mounting part is in this patent mentioned several time as rigid in its consistency.
The exceptional you sain with the invention:
With the present invention the mounting part (D) is constructed in 0,4 to 0,7 mm thin metal or 0,4 to 0,8 flexible plastic, so that it can be bend and easily adapted with fingers/hand after the up- and downwards varying underside form/profile on all toilet-seat/lid and if convenient for permanent mounting on the toilet-seat/lid underside and where the mounting part then is consistent in its adapted form. That it with its form and mounting is transverse, cross on the toilet-seat/lid and is mounted completely ori the underside of the seat with double-adhesive pads or other adhesive materiel and thereby creating a adhesive/cohesive condition in a way that it can take a persistent pressure up- and downwards. Furthermore the mounting part can be constructed as a clip-device so that the seat-lifter can be inserted and taken out again and thereby be replaced. This clip-device is made in 0,4 to 0,7 mm non-hardened metal or 0,4 to 0,8 mm flexible plastic and can furthermore easily be bend with fingers/hands after the different forms at the underside of the toilet-seat/lid and moreover it is mounted the same way as the seat-lifter. The seat-lifter can this way be for one-time use, personal use or permanent use. The seat-lifter exists furthermore by a plate (C), which protects against splashes directly from the sink and from under the toilet-set. Furthermore the lifter has a handle so that the toilet-seat/lid can be lifted and lowered. Furthermore the handle (A) is lifted approx 1,5 mm above the mounting part (D), so that the seat-lifter is more easily to mount.
The new technical means:
Seat-lifter and the clip-device can by that means that the mounting part (D) is made in thin non- hardened metal e.g. 0,4 to 0,7 mm or flexible plastic e.g. 0,4 to 0,8 mm be fit on all toilet-seats/lids anywhere on the seat and lid and because the mounting part and the clip-device is flexible and easily is adapted with your fingers it can be mounted on the underside of the toilet-seat/lid and where the mounting part can stay consistent in its adapted form made after the toilet-seat/lids up- and downwards going and varying form. Seat-lifter can be removed and bend with your fingers and thereby easily adapted in a new permanent consistent form to suit another toilet-seat/lid existing with a different form on the underside of the toilet-seat/lid. The lid-lifter can be made without protection plate (C). A thin oblong mounting part 5-8 cm long as with its construction is mounted transverse on toilet-seat and toilet-lid. Furthermore the handle (A) is raised approx. 1,5 mm above the mounting part (D).
The technical impact:
With the toilet-seat/lid lifter called seat-lifter you can mount a handle on all toilet-seats/lids anywhere on the toilet-seat/lid regardless its form underside. The mounting is made completely on seat and lid, such as there are no cavity for bacteria. The seat-lifter is equipped with a protection plate that prevents water and parts from the sink to reach the handle part. Seat-lifter can be mounted easily thereby that the seat-lifter is topped by the handle part (A), which is an edge raised approx. 1,5 mm above the horizontal plane of the mounting part. Fisure catalogue:
Figure 1. The product in round materiel and rounded form.
Description of the different types:
Figure 1. The seat-lifter is easy to bend on the mounting part (D). The seat-lifter is mounted transverse on seat and lid. The handle (A) is more water resisting because it is round and the seat- lifter is more contact friendly, because it is more difficult to stick into den round handle (A). The protection plate is protection against splash from the sink e.g. The seat-lifter is stopped during the mounting by the handle (A) s edge, which is made by lifting (A) approx. 1,5 mm above the mounting part (D).
