Abstract

In a video recorder in accordance with the D-VHS system standard, which enables both the recording and/or reproduction of analogue and the recording and/or reproduction of digital television signals, it is possible, during the 'editing' of a D-VHS recording and also in the apparatus operating mode D-VHS 'record assembly', on account of the data format with packet recording of digital data which in each case comprises six slanted tracks (a-f) for a frame in accordance with the D-VHS system standard, for a system-related synchronization error with regard to the existing recording to occur, with the consequence of disturbed picture build-up. According to the invention, during the recording of digital television signals, per frame or per data packet (3) in each case a specific CTL pulse (g) of simultaneously concomitantly recorded CTL pulses (2) is marked at which the respective data packet beginning can be detected.
