Abstract

The inventive combustor is used for liquid-fuel rocket engines without a generator which consume cryogenic components, for example oxygen and hydrogen. Said annular combustor comprises a duct, a combustion chamber which is provided with a mixing unit and arranged inside the duct, and collectors for a propellant and an oxidising component. The combustion chamber has a profiled interior wall arranged along the longitudinal axis of the chamber. A cooled cylinder is arranged inside the burning chamber whose one end is connected to the mixing unit, the other end thereof being connected to the central part of the duct. Said cylinder and the profiled interior wall of the combustion chamber form a circular, critical cross-section. The enclosure of the collector for supplying the propellant is divided into three parts which are separated from each other. One part of the enclosure is connected to an enclosure for supplying the propellant from the mixing unit, and two other parts are connected to a channel for cooling the annular combustion chamber and the cylinder which are connected to each other. The invention makes it possible to increase the value of the specific impulse of the engine and reduce the external dimensions of the combustor.
