METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CUSTOM-MADE ELECTRICAL COMMERCIAL
TRANSACTION
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for custom-made electrical commercial transaction; and, more particularly, to a method and apparatus for custom-made electrical commercial transaction for conducting electric commercial transaction fast and conveniently through providing information custom-made for individual users.
Background Art
In the modern society, information communication field using the Internet makes great progression as information communication technology develops. Due to the development of information communication using the Internet, it becomes possible to purchase goods one wants at home or workplace by accessing to the Internet through a computer or an Internet TV, instead of visiting a shop for oneself.
This type of transaction that purchases goods through the Internet is called an electrical commercial transaction. It refers to a transaction, of which the entire or part is done by electrical form, for example, exchange of electrical documents in trade of goods or services. Its form is similar to a transaction of the real word.
To explain the operation of electrical commercial transaction roughly, a user accesses to a cyber mall (or shopping mall) with an assortment of various goods for sale on the Internet, enters key words for the goods he wants to buy or clicks on the hyperlinks offered in a tree form, and then obtains detailed information on the goods corresponding to them.
A purchaser refers to the provided information and selects goods he wants by clicking on them. When, the price of the goods is paid, the selected goods are delivered to the buyer and the purchase of the goods through the Internet, i.e., the electrical commercial transaction, terminates.
With reference to the accompanying drawings, conventional methods of the electrical commercial transaction will be described hereinafter. Fig. 1 represents an initial screen view of an electrical commercial transaction shopping mall in accordance with a conventional method, while Fig. 2 shows an output screen view obtained by clicking on the hyperlink of the food category of Fig. 1, and Fig. 3 is an output screen view by clicking on the agricultural products category of Fig. 2.
When an Internet user who wants to buy certain goods through the electrical transaction accesses to a web site for the electrical transaction and loges in, such an initial screen as Fig. 1 is outputted.
Referring to Fig. 1, the initial screen of an electrical transaction site is composed of a category hyperlink frame 100 which is linked such categories as fashion/garment accessories 104, cosmetics/perfume, food 102 or kitchen products; and a special goods ad frame 110 with hyperlinks and image information for advertising hit products or staple products .
Here, if an Internet user who wants to buy 'frozen mushrooms' clicks on the hyperlinked category of food 102 on the category hyperlink frame 100, a high-rank hyperlink classifying goods by their shapes and the properties is outputted as shown in Fig. 2. Then the user clicks on the agricultural products/fruit/grains hyperlink again.
As the Internet user clicks on the hyperlink of agricultural products/fruit/grains, an output screen like
Fig. 3 is provided to the user. Then, he searches information on the frozen mushroom and makes his order by clicking on the frozen mushroom to purchase.
Subsequently, the ordered frozen mushrooms are delivered to the user after he settles the payment for them and the electrical transaction is terminated.
In conventional electrical transactions, the Internet user is provided with information on the goods he wants to purchase finally by clicking on a category hyperlink after he accesses to the site to buy goods, and the electrical transaction is done by clicking on the goods he wants one by one .
However, the conventional electrical transaction system has an inconvenience that although Internet users running restaurants or other stores are purchasing regular goods by periods, they should click and find icons or hyperlinks where the goods they want are located and input purchase request code, every time they buy the same goods.

Besides, it is obvious other components can be added except the hardware components described above.
Here, the database 430 includes a supplier information database 432, a user information database 434, a goods information database 436 and a transaction particular database 438.
The internal structure of the supplier information database 432 includes information of a supplier's ID, name of the supplier (trade name), handling items and address as shown in Fig. 5A.
The internal structure of the user information database 434 includes information on a user's ID, name of the user (trade name), business type and address as depicted in Fig. 5B. Also, the internal structure of the goods information database 436 includes information on the ID of goods, name of goods, supplier's ID, manufacturing place and price as shown in Fig. 5C.
The internal structure of the transaction particular database 438 includes information on the transaction ID, user's ID, supplier's ID, date of transaction, amount of transaction, ID of goods and custom-made order sheet as shown in Fig. 5D.
The operation of a custom-made electrical commercial transaction apparatus with above structures of the present
invention will be described hereinafter.
First of all, the custom-made order server 420 is inputted with supplier information, such as the name or trade name, handling items and address, and goods information to be sold online from a supplier 410 with whom a contract has been made.
Here, the contract between the supplier 410 and the custom-made order server 420 can be executed both online and off-line. The transaction particulars include quality guarantee of goods, time of the payment, commission of the sale done through the custom-made order server 420, and so forth.
The custom-made order server 420 classifies the goods information from suppliers 410 into items required for business types, that is, into foodstuffs required for business types such as Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Western or fusion restaurant; stores them in the goods information database 436, and stores the information on the suppliers who provides the goods information in the supplier information database 432.
Here, the goods information database 436 receives the IDs of suppliers who provide the information on goods classified in accordance with each business type from the supplier information database 432, and stores them in it. The user 400 conducts membership registration as the user information including a user's ID, user's name, password, address and business type are inputted in the custom-made order server 420, and logs in by entering the user ID and password of the membership. At this moment, the custom-made order server 420 stores the inputted user information in the user information database 434.
Subsequently, the custom-made order server 420 searches the goods information database 436 and outputs to the user 400 the information on the items corresponding to the business type, when a signal requesting to search goods
information is inputted by a user accessing through the Internet and clicking on a selection icon (not shown) or hyperlink.
In case the user 400 is a manager of a Korean restaurant, as illustrated in Fig. 6A, the custom-made order server 420 outputs the information on the general kinds of goods needed for cooking a variety of cuisines delt with in a Korean restaurant, which is the user's business type. Referring to Fig. 6A, the information of the items outputted to the user 400 includes items, sizes, prices, check boxes and an item addition icon 600 for adding an item of goods .
Here, when the goods information of an item is clicked, information on other suppliers, manufacturers and grades is outputted.
For instance, when a user 400 clicks on goods of an item 'Sunghwan Shingo pear (premium)' from the goods information of Fig. 6A, the grade of the goods or supplier and producer such as ' Sunghwan Shingo pear (medium),..., 'Naju Shingo pear (premium) ' are outputted besides the goods of the grade 'Sunghwan Shingo pear (premium), as shown in Fig. 6B. Obviously, it is possible to compose other product selection icons for selecting other suppliers, manufacturers and grades separately as seen in Fig. 6C from the goods information outputted as seen in Fig. 6A.
Also, in addition to the Korean restaurant described above, the entire information of goods needed for other business types such as Japanese, Chinese, Western, Italian or fusion restaurant of Korean-Japanese or Korean-Italian, can be offered as Fig. 6A.
A user 400 selects goods to purchase by clicking on the 'check' after pointing out the supplier, manufacturer and grade of an item he wants from the outputted information of goods for a Korean restaurant.
For instance, in case the user 400 clicks on the 'check' box and selects items such as organically cultivated cabbages (Pulmuwon Co. , Ltd. ) , agricultural- medicine-free rice (Jungnonghwoe Association), potatoes (superior), Wangkalbi rib (Pungnyon Food Co., Ltd.), potatoes, Sunchang-gol soy source, etc., from the general goods information classified by business types, the custom- made server 420 generates a custom-made order sheet like Fig. 7 and outputs it to the user 400. Here, the custom-made order sheet illustrated in Fig. 7 includes the item of goods and size, price and quantity. Stock quantity of the item may be offered optionally. It further includes an item addition icon 700 for modifying the items on the custom-made order sheet; and an order icon 702 for ordering the items on the custom-made order sheet.
The stock quantity means the quantity left behind after being ordered by users 400 who have accessed to the custom-made order server 420, out of the total quantity of the goods stored in the goods information database 436. The stock quantity may be counted in real-time according to the order from users 400.
The custom-made order server 420 uses electrical payment system and executes payment settlement by the user 400 for the items he has selected according to the order signal inputted as he clicks on the order icon 702. Then, after sending to the supplier 410 the payment for the ordered item except a predetermined commission and information on the order, the ordered goods are delivered by the supplier 410 and the electrical transaction terminates .
Here, the custom-made order server 420 searches a user's ID in the user information database 434 and information on the ID of the ordered goods, dealing goods, supplier's ID, prices, etc., from the goods information database 436, and then stores the particulars of electrical
commercial transaction with the user 400 such as transaction ID, user's ID, supplier's ID, date of transaction, amount of transaction, goods of transaction and custom-made order sheet information in the transaction particular database 438.
The user 400 selects the quantity of the goods he wants to purchase in the quantity selection portion of the outputted custom-made order sheet. In case the sheet doesn't include the item he wants, he can click on the item addition icon 700 and input a item addition request signal.
The custom-made order server 420 outputs the general goods information corresponding to the business type the user belongs to, according to the item addition request signal inputted as the user clicks on the item addition icon 700. At this moment, if the user clicks on the item addition icon 700 to search information on goods other than those in the general goods information classified by business types as shown in Fig. 6A, a business type signal is inputted from the user 400 through the business type selection icon 800 seen in Fig. 8 for selecting a business type he wants to search.
The custom-made order server 420 outputs the general goods information corresponding to a business type to the user 400 in the form shown in Fig. 6A according to the inputted business type selection signal.
Also, the custom-made order server 420 determines if the custom-made order sheet information of the user 400 is in the transaction particular database 438 when he logs in the custom-made order server 420 next time. That is, the custom-made order server 420 determines from the log-in information of the user 400 accessing thereto whether the user has ever accessed the custom-made order server 420 before and done any electrical transaction, thus determining if the custom-made order sheet information of the user 400 is in the transaction particular database
438.
If the custom-made order sheet information of the user
400 is in the transaction particular database 438, it outputs a custom-made order sheet stored in the transaction particular database 438 as seen in Fig. 7 and conducts the electrical commercial transaction with the user 400.
That is, a user may conduct an electrical transaction by clicking on the order icon 702 to place an order for the same goods as the goods information in the outputted custom-made order sheet, or he may perform an electrical transaction by clicking on the item addition icon 700 and re-generating a custom-made order sheet in accordance with his selection of new goods.
The custom-made order server 420 stores the custom- made order sheet information re-generated agreeably to the user's selection in the transaction particular database 438.
In a custom-made electrical commercial transaction apparatus of the present invention described above, the general goods information of a business type corresponding to the user 400 accessing the custom-made order server 420 can be classified into general foods and middle classification such as raw foods, processed foods, health foods, gift sets, imported foods and small classification such as agricultural products, fruits, grains, dairy products, marine products and more detailed classification and provided to the suppliers 400, composing a custom-made order sheet according to the user's selection with reference to the provided information on goods.
A method for conducting custom-made electrical commercial transaction formed and operated as described above in accordance with the present invention will be explained hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings .
Fig. 9 is a flow chart for conducting custom-made electrical commercial transaction in accordance with the
present invention.
First, at step S900, the user 400 accesses to a custom-made order server 420 through the Internet and logs in by entering his ID and password. At step S902, the user 400 who logged in is determined if he is a registered member of the electrical commercial transaction service.
At step S904, if he is a member, a custom-made order sheet of his own can be outputted by using the known information, that is, information on the business type the user belongs to that is stored in the user information database 434 or information on the prior transaction particulars of the user. To describe more in detail, if a user accesses to the custom-made order server 420 and thus there is information of prior electrical transaction particulars ordering certain goods, the custom-made order sheet of the user 400 stored in the transaction particular database 438 is outputted. In case there is no electrical transaction particular of ordering goods before, a custom- made order sheet with purchasing items, inputted while the user signed up for membership, is generated and outputted. The purchasing list of the user can be received in the custom-made ■ order server through online from a user connected thereto on the network. Also, possible are media such as mails, phone calls and facsimiles.
That is, a custom-made order sheet is generated, as a user 400 selects items he wants from the information on the general goods classified by business types that are outputted from his previous accesses to the custom-made order server 420. This way, the electrical commercial transaction is conducted.
With the information of custom-made order sheet already generated and stored in the . transaction particular database 438, the custom-made order server 420 searches the transaction particular database 438 with his log-in
information and outputs a corresponding custom-made order sheet to the user 400.
Meanwhile, at step S908, if the user 400 is not registered as a member at the previous step S902, in other words, if he hasn't performed any electrical transaction through the custom-made order server 420, the user 400 should sign up for membership at step S906 prior to logging-in at step S908.
If a signal requesting item addition is inputted from the user 400 to have certain goods added to the custom-made order sheet at step S910, the general goods information classified by the business type he belongs to is outputted at step S912.
If the user 400 inputs an additional item selection signal by clicking on predetermined additional goods from the outputted information on the general goods classified by business types at step S914, a custom-made order sheet is regenerated and outputted agreeably to the selection signal. Meanwhile, at step S918, if the item addition request signal is not inputted in the above step S910, it is determined if an item selection signal is inputted in the outputted custom-made order sheet. In case the item selection signal is inputted, a custom-made order sheet in accordance with the selection signal is re-generated and outputted.
At step S920, according to the order request signal of the user 400 on the outputted custom-made order sheet, the electrical commercial transaction of settling payment based on an electrical payment system and the delivery of the goods are performed.
At step S922, the electrical commerce particulars performed at the step S920 and the information on a regenerated custom-made order sheet are stored in the transaction particular database 438 as data.
Here, it is obvious the user 400 can select a supplier, a manufacturer and a grade of each product by clicking on the outputted goods information.
With reference to accompanying drawing, the re- generation of a custom-made order sheet conducted through the above procedures in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention will be described hereinafter.
Fig. 10 is a flow chart describing the re-generation property of a custom-made order sheet in custom-made electrical commercial transaction in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention.
First, at step S1000, a custom-made order sheet stored in the transaction particular database 438 is outputted to the user 400, the sheet generated when the user 400 accessed to the custom-made order server 420 and performed a predetermined electrical commercial transaction.
At step S1002, it is determined whether an item addition for adding a predetermined item is inputted to the custom-made order sheet outputted at the previous step S1000. Here, if the item addition signal is inputted, it is determined if a selection signal of another business type other than the business type of the outputted custom- made order sheet is inputted at step S1004.
Subsequently, at step S1006, if a selection signal of another business type is inputted, the general goods information of the business . type corresponding to the selection signal is outputted to the user 400.
At step S1008, a custom-made order sheet including the information on the additional item corresponding to the item selection signal from the user 400 from the general goods information of a business type is re-generated.
Here, when the user 400 inputs a signal requesting to select items other than those in the business type he belongs to, not only the items of other business types but also item information corresponding to a variety of
business types such as Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Italian and fusion foods can be outputted.
An apparatus and method for electrical commercial transaction of the present invention composed and operates as above have been described mainly on an electrical transaction of foodstuffs with managers of diverse kinds of restaurants as users 400. However, besides the foodstuffs, this invention can be obviously applied to fabrics for manufacturing garments, threads, buttons or medical supplies, consumer goods of a certain business and so forth. An example of supplies for manufacturing garments is shown in Figs. 11 to 15.
