Abstract

The invention relates to the construction design of planing boats which are mainly provided with water-jet propulsors. The inventive boat comprises a hull with a keelbuilt bottom having symmetric trapezoidal flat sectors thereon, transversal planing steps mounted behind said flat sectors, and active pullout elements controlling lifting force placed behind the transversal planing steps. On the bottom level, the boat is fitted with flat projecting parts whose lower surfaces are embodied on a plane with the flat sectors of the bottom. The transversal planing steps are embodied in the form of an arrow-type with sweep angles ranging from 5° to 30°. The ratio of the boat beam, together with the projecting parts to the boat beam, ranges from 1.2 to 2.5. The trapezoidal flat sectors are mainly arranged in the middle and in the aft end of the boat. The inventive planing boat can be provided with narrow asymmetric board jack pads having not less than one transversal planing step with a negative sweep. Said boat can also be fitted with a front foil with controlled flaps. In a preferred embodiment, the boat is provided with a water-jet propulsor whose intake opening is arranged in the hull bottom in front of the active elements controlling lifting force.
