Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Sensorelement zur optischen Detektion von chemischen oder biochemischen Analyten, die in unterschiedlichen Proben enthalten sein können. Aufgabengemäß sollen ein möglichst kleines Probenvolumen erforderlich und die einzelnen Proben relativ dicht benachbart zueinander angeordnet werden können, und trotzdem eine hohe Messgenauigkeit erreicht werden. Am Sensorelement ist mindestens eine Grenzfläche ausgebildet, an der infolge von Totalreflexion ein evaneszentes Feld ausgebildet wird. Die Proben sind in voneinander getrennten Kavitäten aufgenommen und die Kavitäten innerhalb einer unmittelbar auf einem Substrat aufgebrachten strukturierten Deckschicht ausgebildet. Dabei ist die Schichtdicke der Deckschicht zumindest größer als die Eindringtiefe des evaneszenten Feldes. Die Deckschicht besteht aus einem fluorierten Polymer und verhindert einen Stoffaustausch der einzelnen Proben, die in den verschiedenen Kavitäten aufgenommen sind.
