Abstract

L'invention concerne un nouveau concept d'avion supersonique dont la consommation en carburant et le niveau de bruit au décollage sont très inférieurs à ceux des avions existants ou en projet. Ce concept est caractérisé par deux turbosoufflantes (11-12) qui, en vol supersonique, sont escamotées dans un fuselage aplati (1) placé sous les ailes (4), par déplacement horizontal d'un chariot. Les turboréacteurs (21-22) de vol supersonique, uniquement optimisés pour la croisière supersonique, sont très simplifiés de sorte que le poids total de la motorisation reste très réduit.
