Abstract

Cette invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés permettant de personnaliser un appareil pour réseau de données dans un système de téléphonie de réseau de données. Un utilisateur fournit un attribut de personnalisation d'appareil à un appareil pour réseau de transmission de données tel qu'un téléphone de réseau de données. Cet attribut de personnalisation indique la configuration que l'utilisateur souhaite donner à l'appareil. Par exemple, l'utilisateur peut spécifier un audioclip indiquant notamment le nom de l'utilisateur à annoncer en cas d'appel entrant. Cette personnalisation de l'appareil peut également prendre la forme d'un clip musical diffusé pendant l'attente. Selon un mode de réalisation préféré, l'attribut de personnalisation de l'appareil est stocké dans un dispositif d'information portable tel qu'un assistant personnel numérique. Lorsque l'utilisateur souhaite s'enregistrer sur un appareil de transmission de données déterminé, il peut agir sur son dispositif d'information portable pour que ce dernier transmette l'attribut de personnalisation à l'appareil de transmission de données et le personnalise.
