Abstract

The invention concerns a set of elements comprising a fluid whereof the assembly in grid network form a support for the human body such as a mattress or a bedspring. Each element consists of a block (1) containing a chamber, a vertical rod (2) and orifices enabling sealed communication with the chambers of adjacent elements. Each rod transmits a small part of the person's weight to the fluid contained in the chambers of the elements. Said force is passed on to the other rods through the channel of the chambers, so as to enable the pressure to be distributed without protrusions or recesses on the sleeper's body. The fact that the elements are nested enables a modular construction (the possibility of extending or reducing the support, the possibility of reusing the elements on other beds) and flexibility (the possibility of setting the elements on an adjustable bedspring).
