- the object of the invention is in particular to develop and perfect this concept, in order to form in a damper of the aforementioned type, a subset of parts which can be positioned and assembled together before being mounted in the damper, in order to simplify the mounting of the shock absorber on a machine and reduce the downtime of this machine by each shock absorber during assembly.
- torsion damper of the aforementioned type, comprising an input element connected to an output element by a main damper and by a pre-damper, the main damper comprising an annular web connected to the element d entry by elastically deformable members with circumferential action and first friction means interposed with first elastic clamping means with axial action between the web and a guide washer integral with the entry element, the pre-damper comprising a annular element secured to or formed by the aforementioned veil and connected to the outlet element by other elastically deformable members with circumferential action, and second friction means interposed with second elastic clamping means with axial action between the output element and the aforementioned guide washer, the first and second friction means comprising two washers, the first of which surrounds the second and is rotationally integral with the guide washer, characterized in that the two abovementioned friction washers are connected during manufacture to each other by fragile parts of material which are broken when mounted on the damper to separate the washers from one other.
- the friction washers of the main shock absorber and of the pre-shock absorber are mounted in one piece on the shock absorber and then are separated from each other by rupture of their connecting means when they are in place, which then allows different relative behaviors of these washers during the operation of the torsion damper in one clutch.
- the first friction washer comprises, on its face facing the guide washer, axial retaining means of an elastic washer forming part of the aforementioned first axial clamping means.
- the two friction washers remain, after mounting in the damper, linked to each other in rotation by cooperation of shapes, the inner periphery of the first friction washer and the periphery outer of the second friction washer having for example crenellated and conjugate shapes which mesh with one another.
- the aforementioned elastic washer can be immobilized in rotation on the first friction washer, by simple cooperation of shapes.
- the second friction washer can be linked in rotation by cooperation of shapes, no longer with the first friction washer but with the aforementioned elastic washer, this second friction washer comprising for example tabs radial at its outer periphery which are engaged in radial notches of the inner periphery of said elastic washer.
- the invention also provides a set of friction washers for a torsion damper of the type described above, this set being characterized in that it comprises two coaxial and substantially coplanar washers connected to one another by parts fragile material from manufacturing.
- this assembly is made in one piece by plastic molding and advantageously comprises means for axial retention and immobilization in rotation of an elastic washer.
- the invention simplifies the mounting of a torsion damper of the aforementioned type and reduces the time for mounting this damper on a machine provided for this purpose as well as the downtime of this machine by each shock absorber during assembly.
- the friction washers and the associated elastic washers of the main shock absorber and the pre-shock absorber are positioned correctly and precisely with respect to each other, without risk of error.

- Figure 8 is a partial sectional view showing this sub-assembly mounted in a torsion damper.
- Figures 1 and 2 show a torsional damper for clutch intended for a motor vehicle, of the type described in document FR-A-2,741,925.
- This torsional damper comprises an input element 10 connected to an output element 12 by a main damper 14 and a pre-damper 16.
- the input element 10 here consists of a disc 18 bearing at its outer periphery friction linings 20 intended to be clamped between clutch pressure and reaction plates, the disc 18 being fixedly connected to two parallel guide washers 22 by means of balusters 24.
- An annular web 26 is disposed between the guide washers 22 and comprises an internal toothing 28 which meshes, with a predetermined circumferential clearance, with an external toothing 30 of the outlet element 12, such as for example a hub intended to be secured in rotation with a shaft driven by grooves 32 of its internal surface.
- the main damper 14 comprises elastically deformable members 34 with circumferential action, here helical springs housed in windows facing the guide washers 22 and the annular web 26, as well as a friction washer 36 disposed between a guide washer 22 and the annular web 26 and pushed onto the web by an elastic washer 38 such as a Belleville washer.
- the pre-damper 16 also comprises elastically deformable members with circumferential action, such as helical springs, of lower stiffness than the springs 34 of the main damper, which are housed for example in the notches of the abovementioned teeth 28 and 30 of the annular web and of the hub 12 (see FIG. 3 of the aforementioned document FR-A-2,741,925).
- a friction washer 40 associated with an elastic washer 42 of the type Belleville washer, is disposed between the aforementioned guide washer 22 and an annular flange of the hub 12.
- the friction washers 36 and 40 described in the aforementioned document are made in one piece by molding, for example of plastic, and are connected to each other by lugs radial 44 flexible which allow a relative axial movement between the friction washers 36 and 40 while securing them in rotation.
- the friction washer 36 of the main damper comprises, on its face facing the guide washer 22, pins projecting axially 46 housed in windows 48 of the guide washer 22 to secure in rotation this washer of guide and the assembly formed by the friction washers 36 and 40.
- the input element 10 is rotated by a driving shaft such as the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine and transmits a torque at one output element 12 via the pre-damper 16 and the main damper 14.
- the pre-damper 16 is intended to dampen or absorb vibrations at idle speed of the internal combustion engine, the main damper then behaving like a rigid element due to the relatively high stiffness of the springs 34.
- the transmitted torque increases, the teeth 28 and 30 are engaged, the pre-damper 16 is in abutment and the vibrations and irregularities of the torque are then damped or absorbed by the main damper 14 until the latter is in turn in abutment.
- the friction washer 40 urged by the elastic washer 42 makes it possible to brake the relative movements between the guide washer 22 and the hub 12 during the operation of the pre-damper
- the friction washer 36 urged by the elastic washer 38 makes it possible to brake the relative movements between the guide washer 22 and the annular web 26 during the operation of the main damper, avoiding or reducing the impacts of the toothing 28 of the annular web 26 on the toothing 30 of the hub 12.
- the production in one piece of the friction washers 36 and 40 makes it possible to reduce the number of parts of the damper and to simplify its mounting, the friction washers 36 and 40 being integral with one another. on the other in manufacturing rotation and can be easily joined in rotation with the guide washer 22, by engagement of the pins 46 in the windows 48.
- the invention aims to perfect this concept, by improving its performance and further simplifying the mounting of a torsion damper of the aforementioned type, thanks to sub-assemblies such as those shown in Figures 3 and following.
- a first embodiment of the invention shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 comprises a manufacturing sub-assembly formed by a first friction washer 50 (corresponding to the washer 36 in FIGS. 1 and 2), a second friction washer 52 ( corresponding to the washer 40 of Figures 1 and 2) and advantageously an elastic washer 54 (corresponding to the elastic washer 38 of Figures 1 and 2).
- the friction washers 50 and 52 are made in one piece, for example by plastic molding, and are connected to each other by thin and fragile parts 56 from manufacturing, forming radial lugs between the inner periphery of the first washer 50 and the outer periphery of the second washer 52 and which are intended to be broken by a relatively small axial thrust when this sub-assembly is mounted in a shock absorber twist as shown in figure 4.
- the elastic washer 54 associated with the first washer 50 is held in place on the latter by elastic clipping or snap-fastening, by virtue of axial rights 58 projecting from the face of the washer 50 which receives the elastic washer 54 and which end each by a flange or hook oriented towards the axis of the washer.
- These snap-in fingers 58 are radially aligned with pins 60 projecting from the same face of the washer 50, radially outside the fingers 58, in order to secure in rotation the first washer 50 with the associated guide washer, designated by reference 62 in FIG. 4.
- Radial lugs 64 are formed projecting from the outer periphery of the elastic washer 54 and extend on either side of the snap-in fingers 58 and pins 60 to immobilize in rotation, by cooperation of shapes, the elastic washer 54 on the first friction washer 50.
- the second friction washer 52 also has, at its outer periphery, radial tabs 66 which are received, with a predetermined circumferential clearance, in notches 68 of the inner periphery of the first washer friction 50.
- the tabs 66 end in bosses or axial returns 67 which will be in the plane of the notches 68 when mounted in the torsion damper (see FIG. 4).
- the friction washers 50 and 52 are connected to each other by manufacturing, and it suffices to bring the elastic washer 54 onto the face of this sub-assembly comprising the axial fingers 58 and the pins 60, then to push it axially in order to slightly move the axial fingers 58 apart by elastic deformation, and clip or snap the elastic washer 54 onto all of the washers 50 and 52, the elastic washer 54 being retained axially on the first friction washer 50 and immobilized in rotation and centered by engagement of its radial lugs 64 on either side other of pawns 60.
- this sub-assembly is mounted on a hub 70, the external peripheral surface of which comprises an annular shoulder on which the second friction washer 52 is applied. It suffices to push axially on the first friction washer 50 to break the tabs 56 which connect it to the second friction washer 52, which also has the effect of applying the first friction washer 50 to one face of an annular web 72 with internal teeth engaged with play predetermined circumferential on an external toothing 74 of the hub 70.
- these windows 78 have a radial dimension sufficient to receive external radial lugs 80 of the elastic washer 76 and immobilize it in rotation relative to the guide washer 62.
- the windows 78 have an oblong or substantially rectangular shape.
- the axial fingers 58 of latching of the elastic washer 54 extend in the windows 78 of the guide washer 62 and can therefore have an optimal height (or dimension along the axis of rotation), p perfectly suited to snap-fastening and axial retention of the elastic washer 54.
- the invention also makes it possible to reduce the axial size of the torsional damper.
- the pins 60 formed on the first friction washer 50 have a substantially U-shaped section, open towards the axis of rotation, which allows to form the axial fingers 58 snap of the elastic washer 54 inside these pins 60.
- a mortise is thus formed by virtue of the U-shaped section.
- the elastic washer 54 has, at its outer periphery, radial tabs 82 which are housed inside the pins 60 in the aforementioned mortises and snap at their ends on the fingers axial 58.
- the tabs 58 form tenons engaged in the mortises of the pins 60 for rotationally connecting the elastic washer 54 with the first washer 50.
- This arrangement has several advantages: the axial snap-in fingers 58 are housed entirely in the inside the pins 60 and are therefore well protected against the risk of breakage or accidental breakage.
- the orifices 84 which are formed in the friction washer 50 at the base of the axial fingers 58 for their manufacture by molding, then open onto the face of the washer 50 facing the annular web 72 outside the area. 86 intended to rub on the veil, which avoids any discontinuity in the friction surface of the washer 50 on the veil 72.
- the sub-assembly of FIG. 6 is substantially identical to that of FIGS. 3 and 4.
- the second friction washer 52 is immobilized in rotation, no longer relative to the first friction washer 50, but relative to the elastic washer 54 associated with this first washer friction 50.
- the elastic washer 54 which is held axially and angularly on the first friction washer 50 by snap-fastening on axial fingers 58 of the first washer 50, has at its internal periphery notches or notches 88 which are axially aligned with the tabs radial 66 of the external periphery of the second friction washer 52. It is then unnecessary for the internal periphery of the first friction washer 50 to have notches such as those shown at 68 in FIG. 3.
- bosses 90 can be formed projecting axially from the above-mentioned radial lugs 66, side facing the elastic washer 54, to ensure the engagement of the radial lugs 66 in the notches 88 of the elastic washer 54 when mounting the torsion damper, as shown in FIG. 8. As already described with reference to FIGS.
- the subassembly according to the invention is pressed against an annular shoulder of the external surface of the hub 70, the friction washers 50 and 52 are separated from each other by axial thrust causing the rupture of their legs connecting radials, an elastic washer 76 is associated with the second friction washer 52, and a guide washer 62 covering the assembly receives in its windows 78 the pins 60, the bosses 90 of the radial lugs 66 of the second friction washer 52 and the radial lugs 80 of the elastic washer 76 associated with the second friction washer 52, as well as possibly the ends of the axial snap-in fingers 58.
- the elastic washers 54, 76 are of the Belleville washer type extended by an annular part fragmented into radial fingers by slots.
- these washers may include a wavy washer.
- the pre-damper can be installed between the web 72 and the other guide washer, on the side of the web opposite to the washers 50, 54, 52, 76.
- the bearing 92 (FIG. 2) linked in rotation to the web 26 , can be provided with notches in which are housed low stiffness springs, also arranged in corresponding notches of the hub.
