CIGARETTE WITH ADVERTISING MEANS

Technical Field

The present invention generally relates to a cigarette with an advertising means. More particularly, it relates to a cigarette having an advertising part with its brand name or its manufacturing company name on its outer surface to enhance the advertising impact.

Background Art

Cigarettes are popular with a lot of people next to coffee. Smoking was reported to be deleterious to the human body but there is no significant decrease in cigarette smoking. The reason why the smokers are not decreased is that it is difficult to quit smoking and there are still many people who believe that smoking is somewhat useful to relieving stress and refreshing themselves. In addition, those who receive many guests can become easily acquainted with people through smoking cigarettes and usually smoke cigarettes in social meetings.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a conventional cigarette, and a cigarette case 2 usually holds twenty cigarettes 4. Cigarette 4 in cigarette case 2 includes a combustion part 4a formed by rolling finely cut tobacco in thin paper, and a filtering part 4b removing harmful chemical substances contained in cigarette 4 such as nicotine. Cigarette case 2 made of paper and vinyl plastic consists of an outer part 2a on which a cigarette's brand name, a manufacturing company name, warning lines, etc. are printed, and an inner part 2b holding cigarettes 4. Outer part 2a is covered with vinyl plastic to protect cigarettes from moisture and prevent the finely cut tobacco from soiling the inside of a carrier's pocket. Combustion part 4a of cigarette 4 has no public information like these, and is simply burned during smoking while conventional cigarette case 2 has a manufacturing company name, a cigarette's brand name, certain commemorative lines, public information, etc. on its outer part 2a.

Since combustion part 4a of cigarette 4 is covered with thin paper, if it is wet with moisture, the finely cut tobacco is directly shown to be not good very well in outward appearance .

Disclosure of Invention

An object of the present invention is to provide a cigarette having a combustion part on which an advertising means such as public information lines or various figures are printed to add the beauty of the case, thus making people think better of the product, and further has a function of advertising stuff, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of advertisement. According to the present invention, a cigarette held in a cigarette case made of paper and the like and having on one end a filtering part removing chemical substances such as nicotine contained in it, includes a combustion part with an advertising part on its outer part, attached to a section in front of the filtering part and enclosing finely cut tobacco.

Best Mode for carrying Out the Invention The preferred embodiment of the present invention will become apparent from a study of the following detailed description, when viewed in light of the accompanying drawings . As described above referring to FIG. 1, in general, twenty cigarettes 14 are held in order in a cigarette case 12. Each cigarette includes a combustion part 14a formed by rolling finely-cut tobacco in thin paper, and a filtering part 14b removing chemical substances contained in cigarette 14 such as nicotine. A cigarette case 12 has an outer part 12a on which a cigarette's brand name, trademark or warning lines are printed, and an inner part 12b made of paper to hold cigarettes 14. Outer part 12a of cigarette case 12 is covered with vinyl plastic to protect cigarettes from moisture and prevent the finely cut tobacco from soiling the inside of a carrier's pocket.

In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention, combustion part 14a of cigarette 14 has an advertising part 20 on which words or figures for advertising a company or product are printed. Since cigarette 14 generally has a circular section, advertising part 20 may be designed to form a single item all over the outer surface of combustion part 14a. Advertising part 20 may be formed on either one side or both sides. In this case, advertisements printed on advertising part 20 may be opposite to each other in direction when viewed from both the sides in order to emphasize the advertisement.

Combustion part 14a with advertising part 20 is placed on the front of filtering part 14b to enclose the tobacco, and these combustion part 14a and filtering part 14b are made of a sheet of paper. Therefore, when manufacturing cigarette paper, advertising part 20 is printed on a section corresponding to combustion part 14a, and the cigarette's brand name is printed on filtering part 14b.

It is preferable that advertising part 20 is directly printed on a section of the cigarette paper corresponding to combustion part 14a's outer surface, and in case of carrying various advertisements on several kinds of cigarettes, those advertisements can be made in sticker type to be attached to each cigarette's combustion part . As described above, the inventive cigarette has an advertising means on which lines or figures for a company's public information are printed on its combustion part to make its outer appearance good, thus letting people think better of the corresponding product's image. This cigarette also serves as an advertising stuff to enhance the advertising impact. In addition, since most of smokers carry cigarettes with them, or frequently come in smoking places, the effectiveness of advertisement can be enhanced when printing advertisements for public benefit such as lines for environmental protection or for finding missing children on the inventive cigarette's advertising part. Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as recited in the accompanying claims.

1. A cigarette held in a cigarette case made of paper and the like and having on one end a filtering part removing chemical substances such as nicotine contained in it, comprising a combustion part with an advertising part on its outer part, attached to a section in front of the filtering part and enclosing finely cut tobacco.
