Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de contrôle destiné aux grands magasins et constitué d'un lecteur code à barres (10) et d'un désactivateur d'étiquette antivol (14). Le lecteur code à barres produit un signal sur le code à barres d'un article lu avec succès par ledit lecteur. Ce signal sert à mettre en service le désactivateur pour une période prédéterminée, à l'issue de laquelle le désactivateur est mis hors service jusqu'à ce qu'un nouveau code à barres soit lu avec succès. Ce procédé permet de réduire les risques qu'un caissier puisse désactiver l'étiquette antivol d'un article sans avoir lu le code à barres de cet article et, par conséquent, enregistré la vente. Ce système peut également comporter un microcontact permettant de détecter la fermeture et l'ouverture du tiroir-caisse. Si ce dernier reste ouvert mais que les codes à barres de certains articles sont lus par le lecteur codes à barres, cela peut signifier que des marchandises sont frauduleusement retirées du magasin.
