Abstract

A work station is fitted with a light-detecting device comprising a light sensor which detects the light intensity of the ambient light at the work station and generates a voltage which is proportional to the detected light intensity. The voltage is transmitted to a comparator (16) which is connected to the light sensor (10) and compares the voltage generated by the light sensor with a reference voltage and emits an electrical signal when the voltage generated by the light sensor (10) falls below the reference voltage. The light-detecting device also comprises an actuating element (22, 24, 26) which is controlled by the electrical signal emitted by the comparator (16) and generates an actuating signal.

Description

LICHTERFASSUNGSEINRICHTUNG LIGHT DETECTION DEVICE
The invention relates to a light detection device for a workplace.
If the illuminance generated by the ambient light in the surroundings of a workstation drops below a predetermined value, the room lighting of the workspace in question should be switched on, in addition to a workstation lamp. It is known that too great a difference in brightness between the workplace itself and the surroundings thereof leads to faster fatigue of the workplace user.
The invention is therefore intended to create a possibility of ensuring a sufficient illuminance of the ambient light at a work station.
This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. When the light falls below a predetermined minimum illuminance of the incident ambient light, it emits an actuation signal which is used to switch on the room lighting can be exploited.
In an expedient embodiment of the invention, the light detection device is attached directly to a workstation lamp. It is advantageous if the light detection device according to claim 3 is attached to the non-light-emitting side of the workplace lamp, since this does not falsify the measurement of the ambient light by light from the workplace lamp.
According to claim 4, this actuation signal is an optical or acoustic signal which indicates to the user of the workplace that he must switch on his workplace lamp, or it is a signal which immediately ensures that the room lighting is switched on. In principle, any optical, acoustic or control signal generator can be used for this purpose. According to claim 5, however, the use of an LED for generating an optical signal, a horn or the like. used for generating an acoustic signal or a relay for generating a positioning signal.
The optical signal indicator or the LED is expediently arranged according to claim 6 in the field of view of a user of the associated workplace.
A preferred embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the single figure, which shows a circuit diagram of the light detection device attached to a workstation lamp according to the invention.
Not shown, at a customary task light 'is a light detecting device according to the present Invention directly attached or electrically connected thereto, and the circuit of the light detection device shown in the figure shows an illumination sensor 10 which detects the illuminance of the ambient light at the respective work station. Ambient light falls on the illumination sensor 10 according to the arrows 12, which generates a voltage proportional to the illuminance detected thereby. This voltage is passed via a line 14 to a comparator 16, which compares this voltage with a reference voltage U f given to it via line 18. As soon as the voltage emitted by the illumination sensor 10 falls below the reference voltage U f, the comparator 16 emits an electrical signal via an output line 20, which is given to an LED 22, an electrically actuated horn 24 or a relay 26, which is optionally in the Light detection device are included. The light signal generated by the LED 22 when an electrical signal is given via the line 20 falls into the eye of the workplace user, not shown, according to the arrows 28, while the acoustic signal generated by the horn 24 falls into the ear of the workplace user, and both indicate this to him that the illuminance of the ambient light falls below a predetermined value and he is asked to switch on the room lighting. When an electrical signal arrives via line 20 at relay 26, this automatically actuates a switch on the room lighting.
