Description
Kolbenstange für einen Linearantrieb Piston rod for a linear drive
Beschreibungdescription
The invention relates to a piston rod for a linear drive, in particular for a fluid-operated cylinder.
Stahl der SpezifikationLinear drives in the form of fluid-operated working cylinders regularly have a housing in which a piston which can be displaced by fluid force is arranged and which is connected to a piston rod which is led out of the housing. X20Crl3.
However, this material is relatively expensive and has a relatively high weight. The latter means that considerable energy is required for acceleration during operation of the linear drive and that expensive damping devices are required for braking. In order to remedy the weight problem, it was also considered to use hollow piston rods. However, this in turn adversely affects the manufacturing costs. It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a piston rod for a linear drive which has a lower weight with low manufacturing costs and high corrosion resistance.
This task is solved with a piston rod made of aluminum material and covered with an anodized top layer.
The aluminum material used is a light metal which, compared to conventional steel piston rods, ensures a considerably reduced weight. The aluminum material has a coating produced by anodizing or by anodic oxidation, which can be referred to as an anodizing top layer and has a hardness and corrosion resistance that takes the operating conditions of the piston rod into account. Such a piston rod is lightweight overall, so that it requires less energy to accelerate and can also be braked much easier in the stroke end positions. Due to the hardness of the anodized top layer, the piston rod is very wear-resistant and still very inexpensive to manufacture per linear meter. The cost savings compared to conventional steel piston rods can well be in the range of 20 - 30%. In addition, the inclination of material particles - for example welding spatter or sugar crystals stall when used in the sugar industry - to adhere to the piston rod, greatly reduced.
Advantageous configurations of the piston rod are evident from the subclaims.
A high-strength aluminum alloy is expediently provided as the aluminum material, a certain proportion of silicon and / or manganese being recommended. Dabei erfolgt die Elektrolyse während der Erzeugung der Deckschicht in einem vorzugsweise auf 6 bis 8° C heruntergekühlten Elek- trolysebad, beispielsweise Schwefelsäure, und man erreichtA top layer that is designed as a sliding anodizing top layer, that is to say was formed by so-called sliding anodizing, is considered to be particularly recommended. The electrolysis takes place during the production of the cover layer in an electrolysis bath, for example sulfuric acid, which is preferably cooled to 6 to 8 ° C., and this is achieved
Sie läßt sich dadurch erzeugen, daß die Oxydation in einem Elektrolyt erfolgt, der noch stärker abgekühlt ist, beispielsweise auf ca. 3° C.Degrees of hardness, for example in the order of 420 ± 20HV (Vickers hardness). 12 to 15 μm have proven to be a favorable layer thickness for the top layer. Such a cover layer proves to be extremely suitable, without special reworking, for interacting with the sealing rings used in linear drives, since the surface is very smooth and has excellent sliding properties. If extreme demands are placed on the piston rod, a hard anodizing top layer can also be provided as the top layer, which was produced by so-called hard anodizing. Their hardness is still somewhat higher than the slip anodizing top layer and, for example, in the order of 450 ± 20HV (Vickers hardness). It can be generated in that the oxidation takes place in an electrolyte that has cooled even more, for example to approximately 3 ° C.
Weitere Vorteile der erfindungsgemäßen Kolbenstange ergeben sich aus der nachfolgenden Beschreibung eines möglichen Ausführungsbeispiels .Further advantages of the piston rod according to the invention result from the following description of a possible exemplary embodiment.
The exemplary piston rod is used as an output part of a fluid-operated working cylinder. It is connected to a piston which is guided axially displaceably in a housing of the working cylinder. The piston divides two working spaces from one another, which can be acted upon or vented with a fluid pressure medium, in particular with compressed air. In this way, the piston can be driven to reciprocate. This movement is transmitted to the piston rod which slidably and sealingly passes through an end wall of the housing. A sealing ring made of rubber-elastic material is used to seal the Surrounds the piston rod. A component to be moved can be connected to the outer end of the piston rod.
Such cylinders are often used in a corrosive environment. As a result, the piston rod is subject to a high level of corrosion, which, due to the lack of suitable countermeasures, can lead to leaks in the working cylinder in the area of the sealing ring. There is also the danger that material particles adhere to the piston rod - for example sugar crystals when used in the sugar industry - which can destroy the sealing lip of the sealing ring.
In the case of the piston rod of the exemplary embodiment, the problems described above are largely avoided, and a relatively low weight per unit length is achieved, which simplifies acceleration and braking of the piston rod. An optic with a glossy surface can also be created.
For this purpose, the piston rod consists of a high-strength, preferably silicon-containing and manganese-containing aluminum alloy and it is coated on its cylindrical outer circumference with a sliding anodizing cover layer. Since an aluminum material with high strength is already used as the base material, the piston rod has a high basic strength. The tensile strength (Rm) is above 330 N / mm 2 and the 0.2% proof stress (Rpo 2 ) is above 290 N / mm 2 . Even before Generation of the slide anodizing top layer, the material hardness is in the order of 105 HB (Brinell hardness). However, this surface hardness is too low for the intended applications. However, it is significantly increased by slide anodizing the aluminum piston rod. The resulting sliding anodized top layer has a considerably greater scratch resistance, the surface hardness being in the range of 399 HB (Brinell hardness), which corresponds to a Vickers hardness of 420 HV and a Rockwell hardness of approx. 42.7 HRC. In addition, the piston rod has an excellent elongation at break Ü5 of about 12 to 15%. The piston rod is therefore extremely durable even under impact loads.
In order to produce the slide anodizing cover layer, an aluminum rod of the desired diameter or cross section is introduced into an electrolysis bath which contains, for example, sulfuric acid. The rod is then connected to the positive pole of a direct current source, so that an anodic oxidation takes place, whereby the aluminum is electrically oxidized on its surface and a covering layer is formed, which can be called an anodizing covering layer. The temperature of the bath can be used to influence the quality of the anodizing top layer very easily. In particularly cooled baths, extremely wear-resistant hard anodizing top layers can be produced, the hardness of which is, for example, in the order of 450 ± 20HV Vikker's hardness. This is achieved, for example, in one Bath whose temperature is around 3 ° C. However, the growth of the layer thickness is relatively slow here and the hard anodizing top layer produced has a certain roughness, so that subsequent machining, for example by honing, is expedient in order to smooth the surface.
It is therefore advisable not to lower the bath temperature quite as much, but to leave it in the range of 6 to 8 ° C, so that an anodizing top layer with somewhat lower hardness results - for example in the range of 420 HV (Vickers - hardness) - which, however, is still more than sufficient if one compares that a comparable steel of the specification X20Crl3 is in the range of 220 HV. In addition, the growth rate for the oxide layer is considerably greater at this temperature, so that layer thicknesses in the range from 12 to 15 μm can be achieved in an acceptable time. The advantage here is that a very smooth surface is achieved, which eliminates the need for subsequent grinding or polishing, which contributes to reducing the production costs. Such an anodizing top layer has excellent sliding properties, particularly in connection with the sealing ring enclosed by it, it can be described as a sliding anodizing top layer. More detailed information on corresponding anodizing processes can be found, for example, in the specialist book "Surface Treatment of Aluminum", TW Jelinek, Eugen G. Leuze Verlag, new edition in 1997. An AlMnSil alloy is currently considered to be particularly suitable for the piston rod. This silicon and manganese-containing aluminum alloy is characterized by excellent machinability and fracture toughness. The thread rollability and internal thread machinability is also very good. The tendency of welding spatter to adhere to the anodizing top layer is extremely low.
