  • the present invention allows the patient to enjoy an active, normal range of activities, and to participate in vigorous sport activities if desired.
  • Belt 10 may be worn widi casual clothing, sportswear, swim suits, or formal clotiing. Since belt 10 is worn and appears similar to an attractive belt the user is not self-conscious or hesitant to use it in a wide range of activities.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur une ceinture de rétention (10) conçue pour retenir, tout en autorisant son dégagement, un sac pour colostomie (12), cette ceinture comportant une bande continue constituant un corps (14) faite d'un matériau souple et comprenant une fente s'étirant horizontalement (20), éloignée des extrémités et adaptée pour se placer au-dessus d'un ouverture d'accès au corps d'un patient. Des sangles de support arrière de rétention (22), maintenues mais détachables, peuvent être assujetties à la bande constituant un corps (14), en position intermédiaire par rapports aux extrémités opposées de ladite bande qui comprend également une poche allongée (24) placée transversalement et horizontalement et immédiatement à proximité de la fente s'étirant horizontalement (20). Un élément de sangle (50) est rattaché à une paroi interne de la bande continue constituant un corps. La poche allongée (24), en position transversale et horizontale, qui est formée d'un volet (36) d'où part une partie de recouvrement (52), se place immédiatement à proximité de la fente horizontale, en étant fixée à la bande (14), mais de manière amovible, et recouvre le sac pour colostomie (12).
