Abstract

The invention aims at impeding the formation of plantar abcess produced on the hind legs of the rabbit when they bear on the rods of the cage, or at curing said abcess when they are already produced. The device is characterized in that it is comprised of a hollow elongate body (1) provided with a housing zone for the lower part of the hind leg of the rabbit and a top orifice (10) for letting out the higher section of the hind leg. The body (1) is comprised of two parts (2 and 3) provided with fixing means which provide for the union, articulation and separation in order to facilitate the introduction of the leg. The front and rear portions of the body (1) are open in order to provide for the ventilation and articulation of the leg. The opening of the orifice (10) is provided with a protection means (11).

Como resultado de este problema, la zona afectada termina gangrenándose y el animal se muere con el consiguiente inconveniente que esto representa en la explotación del conejo.
