Abstract

The object of the invention is to prevent the furring of the annular seals sealing the peripheral water channel in the body of a water fitting which has a pivoting outlet whose one end merges into a bearing sleeve which surrounds a stationary fitting body and forms therewith a peripheral water channel sealed by annular seals. Disposed on the fitting body is a valve control unit which is connected to the water-supply channels of the fitting body and is connected via a water waste channel thereof to the peripheral water channel leading to the pivoting outlet arm. The peripheral water channel is delimited by a peripheral collar whose mutually facing surfaces simultaneously form part of the wall of a peripheral groove for accommodating the annular seals. In order to attain this object, the annular seals (22) disposed in the peripheral groove (29) are screened by separate sealing constructions (24, 25; 15, 27) from the peripheral water channel (20) or bearing sleeve (13).

Description

Sanitäre Wasserarmatur Sanitary water tap
B e s c h r e i b u n gDescription
Bei dieser bekannten Wasserarmatur ist zur Drehlagerung desThe invention relates to a sanitary water fitting with a swivel spout, one end of which merges into a bearing sleeve which surrounds a fixed fitting body and is rotatably mounted thereon by means of at least one bearing ring and forms a circumferential water channel with the fitting body, which is closed off by ring seals, a valve control unit is arranged on the valve body, which is connected to the water inlet channels of the valve body and is connected via a water outlet channel thereof to the circulating water channel leading to the arm of the swivel outlet nozzle, which is delimited by circulating collars, the surfaces of which facing away from one another simultaneously form part of the wall form a circumferential groove for receiving the ring seals. A sanitary water fitting with the aforementioned features is known from DE 40 17 328 Cl. In this known water valve is for pivoting the
In seinem mittleren zwischen den Lagerringen gelegenen Bereich liegt der Schwenkauslaufstutzen unmittelbar gegen die Ringdichtungen an.An upper and lower bearing ring are arranged on the valve body in the outer overlap regions of each of the swivel spout, which bearing rings preferably consist of a slidable, wear-resistant plastic. In its central area between the bearing rings, the swivel spout lies directly against the ring seals.
Ein Nachteil bei einer derartigen Ausführung der entsprechenden sanitären Wasserarmatur ist darin zu sehen, daß sich in Abhängigkeit von der jeweils gegebenen Wasserqualität, und insbesondere den herrschenden Wasserhärten, schon nach mehr oder weniger kurzer Betriebsdauer Kalkablagerungen im Bereich der im Inneren der Armatur bestehenden Wasserwege bilden können, was insbesondere im Bereich der Ringdichtungen zur Schwergängig- keit des SchwenkauslaufStutzens gegenüber dem Armaturenkörper führt; weiterhin können bei einer entsprechend gewaltsamen Verdrehung desA disadvantage of such a design of the corresponding sanitary water fitting is that depending on the given water quality, and in particular the prevailing water hardness, limescale deposits can form in the area of the waterways inside the fitting after a more or less short period of operation , which leads to the stiffness of the swivel spout relative to the valve body, particularly in the area of the ring seals; can continue with a correspondingly violent rotation of the
SchwenkauslaufStutzens Beschädigungen an den Ringdichtungen auftreten mit der Folge von Undichtigkeiten im Bereich der Wasserwege .Swivel spout Damage to the ring seals occurs with the result of leaks in the area of the waterways.
The invention is therefore based on the object of eliminating the aforementioned disadvantage and of creating a sanitary water fitting of the type mentioned which is simple in design and safe in operation. This object is achieved, including advantageous refinements and developments of the invention, from the content of the patent claims, which follow this description.
The basic idea of the invention provides that the ring seals arranged in the circumferential groove are shielded from the circumferential water channel or the bearing sleeve by means of separate sealing configurations. The invention is associated with the advantage that the flow paths in the circulating water channel and towards the swivel spout are set such that the formation of limescale in the area of the ring seals is considerably restricted, if not prevented, even after a relatively long period of operation. Since the water can no longer penetrate between the parts moving against each other, limescale deposits of this level can no longer occur in this sensitive area.
In a first embodiment of the invention it is provided that the circulating collars are surrounded by rings which fill the space between the circulating collar and the bearing sleeve of the swivel spout and thus shield the ring seals from the circulating water channel. It has been found that in the aforementioned embodiment of the sanitary water fitting, the formation of limescale deposits in the area of the ring seals is considerably restricted, if not prevented, even after a relatively long period of operation. The reason for this can be assumed that in the area of the shielding of the ring seals from the circulating water channel, relatively calm water is permanently present, since the Ring seals are essentially neither directly nor fully flowed, so that in the area of the shielding provided by the rings only a relatively minor exchange of water and thus only a correspondingly safe supply of lime can occur.
According to one embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the rings are connected to one another via webs, so that a single double ring body to be inserted into the water fitting is formed in the manner of a ring gear. According to one embodiment of the invention, the double ring body can be made of plastic and be slotted to produce the two rings shielding the waterway.
According to another embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the rings are formed from an elastic material and can be pulled onto the circumferential collar, so that the fitting body can be prefabricated in this respect.
Finally, it can be provided that the rings are held and fixed in the circumferential grooves of the bearing sleeve.
In an alternative embodiment, the invention provides that the bearing ring arranged as a plain bearing between the valve body and the bearing sleeve seals the circumferential groove for receiving the ring seals against the bearing sleeve and is itself sealed against the bearing sleeve via an outer seal arranged on the bearing ring and in it axial extent limits the passage opening existing between the circulating water channel and the swivel spout. According to an embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the pivot outlet spigot is mounted on the valve body via two part rings of the same design and arranged symmetrically to the circulating water channel. These partial rings can either be connected to form a one-piece ring body, or two bearing rings which are arranged separately from one another and can be used during assembly can also be provided.
Schließlich kann nach einem Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung vorgesehen sein, daß die die Durchtrittsöffnung begrenzende Kante des Lagerrings an ihrer den umlaufenden Wasserkanal begrenzenden Fläche eine in die Durchtrittsöffnuπg sowie nach außen zumFinally, according to one exemplary embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the edge of the bearing ring which delimits the passage opening on its surface delimiting the circumferential water channel into the passage opening and to the outside
Has swivel spout directed bevel. The formation of the corresponding edge serves to set the desired water paths without the water flowing against the ring seals in the turbulence area.

As can be seen in FIG. 1, the sanitary water fitting has a fitting housing 10 on which a swivel lever for quantity and temperature control sits. The fitting has a swivel spout 12 which is seated on a bearing sleeve 13 which can be pivoted about a fixed fitting body 14, the bearing sleeve 13 being rotatably mounted on the fitting housing 10 or the fitting body 14 via bearing rings 15.
The fitting body 14 and thus the sanitary water fitting can be mounted via a stud bolt 16, water inlets 17 entering the fitting body 14 from below and leading to a cartridge 18 arranged in the fitting housing 10, with which the swivel lever 11 is functionally connected for quantity and temperature control is.
From the cartridge 18, a water outlet 19 leads to a circumferential water channel 20 formed in the fitting body 14, which is connected via an opening 28 to the swivel spout 12 of the sanitary water fitting, so that the mixed water coming from the cartridge 18 can flow out here. The circumferential water channel 20 is delimited in the fitting body 14 by circumferential collars 21, the surfaces of which facing away from one another simultaneously form part of the wall of a circumferential groove 29 in which ring seals 22 sealing the circumferential water channel 20 are arranged. The circumferential water channel 20 is limited and sealed on the outside by the bearing sleeve 13. To protect the ring seals 22 from limescale deposits from the water flowing in the circulating water channel 20, the space between the end face of the circulating collar 21 and the inside of the bearing sleeve 13 is filled by an upper ring 24 or a lower ring 25, so that the rings 24, 25 the circumferential water channel 20 is sealed off from the ring seals 22 and the water does not come into direct contact with the ring seals 22.
As can be seen in detail from FIG. 3, the upper ring 24 and the lower ring 25 are combined by webs 26 connecting the rings 24, 25 to form a unitary double ring body 23, which thereby has the appearance of a ring gear; Flow windows 27 are then formed between the webs 26 and the rings 24, 25 so that the water can flow unhindered.
The double-ring body 23 shown in FIG. 3 has assembly advantages because it can be used as such when assembling the sanitary fitting; as not shown, but the rings 24, 25 can also be individually formed and fitted onto the end face of the circumferential collar 21 or put on under pretension, so that prefabrication of the fitting body 14 with corresponding rings 24, 25 is possible. Finally, it is also given in a manner not shown to mount the rings 24, 25 as individual parts in separate grooves still formed on the inside of the bearing sleeve 13. FIGS. 4 and 5 show an alternative embodiment of the invention which is based on the same structure of the sanitary water fitting; In this embodiment, an upper and a lower bearing ring 15 are arranged between the valve body 14 and the bearing sleeve 13 for realizing the rotational mounting of the swivel spout 12 on the valve body 14, each bearing ring 15 on the one hand closing the circumferential groove 29 and thus the ring seal 22 arranged therein , on the other hand, each bearing ring 15 itself is sealed against the bearing sleeve 13 by means of a seal 31 arranged in a circumferential groove 30. The axial extension of the two bearing rings 15 with an end edge 32 each delimit the passage opening 28 between the circumferential water channel 20 and the swivel spout 12. To set favorable flow conditions, the corresponding area of the two bearing rings 15 is in each case with one in the passage opening 28 and after on the outside facing the swivel spout 12 bevel 33. This ensures that the water flowing through the passage opening 28 is kept away from the remaining contact surface with the ring seal 22 between the peripheral collar 21 and the bearing ring 15 or is deflected therefrom. Since there is a seal both between the valve body 14 and the bearing ring 15 and between the bearing ring 15 and the bearing sleeve 13, the water cannot get between the components rotating against each other, so that no annoying limescale can form. The features of the subject matter of these documents, which are disclosed in the above description, the patent claims, the summary and the drawing, individually or in any combination with one another, can be essential for realizing the invention in its various embodiments.
