Abstract

The proposed device for mixing fluid mediums comprises: a vertical inlet pipe (1) directly connected to a mixing chamber (2); distribution chambers (3, 4, 5); preliminary and final mixing units (15 and 16 respectively); and a discharge pipe (28). The distribution chambers are configured coaxially around the vertical pipe and each chamber is divided into intercommunicating areas A and B at least one of which also communicates with the mixing chamber (2). The mixing chamber houses the assembly for mixing the components comprising the preliminary and final mixing units (15 and 16 respectively); these units are mounted on a single shaft (14) and take the form, respectively, of a turning rotor and a fixed stator which is mounted on the mixing chamber housing. The components to be mixed, which are evenly spread around the annular spaces in the distribution chambers, are directed via discharge channels (11) into the mixing chamber (2) and onto the preliminary mixing element rotor (18) which turns at a speed n > 3000 revs/min. The ent ire volume of the fluid medium containing the components undergoes intensive mixing, which results in a high degree of homogeneity and high quality in the final mixture.
