Description

Verpackungseinheit für Dentalstoffe Packaging unit for dental substances
In dental treatment, it is often necessary to apply a number of different substances in a predetermined order. This applies in particular to adhesive technology (Lutz, Lüscher, Ochsenbein, Mühlemann; Adhasive Zahnheilkunde, Zurich 1976) for attaching inlays or composite material. As a rule, the surface of the tooth selected for the connection is first prepared, for example using an etching gel and / or adhesion promoter (primer, conditioner). The latter can be a one- or two-component material. Finally, a binder or cementing material is used, which can also be designed as a single or multi-component material. Depending on the type of material to be fastened (metal, ceramic, composite material) or the type of substrate (enamel, dentin), one or more of the substances to be used may differ. So far, the dentist has kept these substances separately in stock, for example in vials or plunger syringes, in order to select them on a case-by-case basis, to mix and use them on a pallet if necessary. This has not only the disadvantage of being cumbersome. Confusion is also possible with the pairing of substances. With regard to the economy of the packaging, the substances must be stored in containers whose volume is so large that they can change unfavorably over the course of use under unfavorable conditions (slow consumption, high temperature) (for example progressive polymerization or Loss of solvent). When dosing multicomponent masses Errors occur. Mixed pallets are required and must be disposed of.
It is primarily these disadvantages that are eliminated or reduced by the invention. It consists in that the dental substances to be used in the course of a treatment are each contained in a row in a packaging unit. The packaging unit consists of a packaging lower part formed from film material, which has a series of recesses (blisters) for holding the substances, and a removable cover film laminated onto the packaging lower part and closing the receiving recesses. The lower part of the packaging is provided with stabilizing agents that make handling easier.
For a certain type of treatment, for example the attachment of a metal pin, the dentist only needs to select the packaging unit assigned to this type of treatment and is then certain that he has chosen the right materials in the right combination. After opening the packaging unit, the substances are preferably available in the order in which they are to be used. The substances provided for the preparation of multi-component material are precisely pre-dosed. The mixing of multi-component materials can take place in the lower part of the packaging itself, the receiving recesses of which can be shaped accordingly to facilitate this process. The need for a mixed pallet is eliminated. It is not necessary to have a supply of dental substances in the treatment room which corresponds to the conventional supply quantities; rather, the number and type of packaging units to be kept in the treatment room can be kept low as required, while the main supply is kept under more favorable conditions (for example dark and cool). Mixing up materials is not possible. The stabilizing agents provided on the lower part of the packaging ensure that the lower part of the packaging which provides the dental substances can be held easily and without special attention, although it is inherently flexible and unstable, and offers protection of the blister against bending or premature emptying.
The stabilizing means for the lower part of the packaging expediently also form an underside foot part or several foot parts so that it can be easily set down without having to rest on the blisters protruding downwards or only on them.
The stabilizing means can be provided on the lower packaging part itself, for example as molded-on ribs. An embodiment is preferred in which a separate holder is provided, in which the individual packaging units can be inserted. This makes it possible to design the packaging units to be smaller and less material, and thus less expensive to dispose of. An embodiment is preferred in which the packaging units are designed in the form of strips and are connected to a plurality of other, similar strips by means of an easily separable connection (perforation line, break point, etc.) to form a large unit. Such a strip can then be easily inserted into the holder, which has two mutually opposite grooves for receiving the longitudinal edges of the strip. In order to avoid confusion of substances, the arrangement can be such that the dentist always finds substances of analogous use in the same place on his holder. It is therefore expedient if the strip-shaped lower packaging part can be pushed into the holder in only one orientation. In principle, however, other forms of packaging and holder are also conceivable, but a form-fitting connection between the holder and the lower part of the packaging is always advisable. For example, recesses in the holder, which are designed in accordance with the blisters of the lower packaging part and in which the blisters can be used appropriately serve as connecting means.
If substances of an analogous use (etching material, primer / conditioner, bonding) are always to be found in the same place on the holder, the holder can have corresponding markings for these substances or the recesses or recess groups in which these substances are located. Packaging inkers of different uses can easily be distinguished from one another by color coding. The holder can be autoclavable for sterilization.
It is particularly advantageous if the dentist's floating table is equipped with a corresponding holder which can be integrated in the floating table or can be connected to it by means of special fastening means.
The essential advantages of the invention can be summarized in that the dentist no longer has to provide and open a large number of vials and syringes, that the dosing of multi-component materials is optimally prepared, that no pre-dosing on a mixed pallet and no cleaning or disposal Mixing pallets require that the substances can be used safely in the specified order without risk of confusion, that sensitive dental materials can be stored under better conditions and that waste is minimized by small individual packages.
Es zeigen:The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which illustrates two advantageous exemplary embodiments. Show it:
Fig. 1 and 2 a first embodiment without a separate holder with and without a cover film, Fig. 3 and 4 a holder and an associated packaging strips, FIG. 5 shows a plurality of contiguous packaging units of the type shown in FIG. 4, FIG. 6 shows another embodiment of the holder, FIG. 7 shows a holder integrated in a floating table, FIG. 8 shows a holder that can be connected to a floating table, and 9 a dispenser packaging.
The lower packaging part 1 shown in Fig.l and 2 consists of a thermoformed plastic film. It has angled edge ribs 2 for stabilization and for the formation of feet. A recessed grip 3 can be provided at a suitable point.
Receiving recesses 4 serve to receive the dental substances to be used in the context of a uniform treatment, as explained above. The receiving recesses 4 are closed in the storage state (Fig.l) by the cover film 5, which is releasably sealed and can be easily grasped at the projecting corner 6 for removal.
A perforation line 7 is indicated between receiving recesses of different treatment stages, for example between the deepening groups A, B and C, D, which makes it possible to separate the parts of the packaging which are to be handed to the dentist in the individual treatment stages.
The receiving recesses 4, which belong to different treatment levels, can be closed with separate cover foils 5. In such a case, the assistant only reveals those wells that belong to the upcoming treatment stage. The doctor then no longer even has to choose between different intake wells. Moreover, this selection is made easier for him by the fact that the treatment stages or types of substance are indicated on the packaging, as shown in FIG can, whereby the different recesses or groups can be separated from each other by any graphically conceivable means.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, a packaging unit 10 reduced to a narrow strip is provided, which can be separated from a large packaging according to FIG. 5 along a dividing line 9. It consists of a lower packaging part 11, which is formed by a deep-drawn plastic film, and a cover film 12 with a grip tab 13, which is easily removable. Since the narrow packaging unit is very flexible and therefore could only be handled independently with uncertainty, the holder 8 shown in FIG. 3 is provided for its stabilization, which can be designed as a stable plastic part and has an insertion slot 14 into which the packaging unit 10 is inserted so that its edges 15 engage in the parallel grooves 16 of the holder and are held by the latter. In this state, the cover film 13 can be easily removed. The holder is provided with feet 17 and a recessed grip 18. It can carry designation fields 19 to differentiate between the different receiving recesses or groups of receiving recesses of the lower packaging part 11, so that the packaging unit 10 can only be inserted into the slot 14 in a certain orientation with regard to such a designation or only with regard to the usual sequence can, the lower packaging part 11 has an angled portion 20 at the rear end in the direction of insertion.
Der Klapprah¬ men ist bei 28 und der Schwebetisch bei 29 mit zusammenwirken¬ den Rasteinrichtungen zum lösbaren Aritieren des Klapprahmens in der Schließstellung versehen.FIG. 6 shows another embodiment of the holder, which differs from the one shown in FIG. 3 mainly in that it is generally trough-shaped, with any dental material that, during preparation or use, extends over the edge of the associated depression was spilled or smeared, is more easily retained in the area of the holder. According to FIG. 7, the holder can be integrated in a dental floating table 25. This contains a receiving device for the packaging strip 10, on the one hand a recessed support edge 26 for the packaging strip 10 and on the other hand a folding frame 27 for fixing the packaging strip 10 on the support edge 26. The folding frame is at 28 and the floating table at 29 provided with cooperating locking devices for releasably working the snap frame in the closed position.
However, it is also sufficient if the suspension table 30 (FIG. 8) and a holder of the type described with reference to FIG. 3 or 6 are provided with interacting holding means 31, which in the example shown are designed as complementary Velcro strips.
9 illustrates the exemplary embodiment of a large package as a dispenser. A large number of packaging units 10 is contained in a spirally rolled up packaging strip 32 which is received in a housing 33 which can be mounted on a wall or on a table surface by means of a foot part 34, for example. The housing has an outlet device 35 in which the free end of the packaging strip 32 is ready for removal. The packaging strip can be advanced by the division of a packaging unit by means of a handle 36. The unit 37 emerging from the device 35 can then be separated from the remaining strip and used. For this purpose, a suitable separating device can be provided at the mouth of the device 35.
