Description
CONDOM APPLBER
The intent of this application is to protect a device for the purpose of putting condoms in place, so as to afford greater facility, speed, comfort and safety for condom users, by means of a mechanical way of applying the same, during the ' 5 process of putting it on. It can be used for condoms made of flexible material, that come rolled up on themselves.
This applier is formed of flexible strips or strings, installed on the outside part of the condom, and rolled up together with the same, which can be either an integral part of the condom or detachable. Its operation is based on fairly simple mechanics, 10 consisting of pulling the strips or strings rolled up in it, causing the condom to unroll down on the penis, and thus be set in place.
The aforementioned appliance facilitates trie correct placing of the condom, thus eliminating interference with the penis skin, during the process of putting it on, and the risk of attempting to place it inside out or tearing it with the fingernails, by 15 eliminating direct contact with the fingers. Consequently, by providing greater agility in installing the condom, it avoids embarrasment that might occur before the sexual act, due to delay in putting it in place, as well as more comfort and security for users, with only a slight increase in the cost of the final product.
In order to demonstrate how the applier works, drawings are attached of a 20 version consisting of two strips, postioned at 180 degrees from each other. It is not a scale drawing ; eventual disproportions are intended for explanatory purposes only, and in no wise are meant to limit the extent of protection petitioned.
FIGURE 1 : Front view of the unrolled condom with strips also unrolled. FIGURE 2 : Lateral section of the unrolled condom and strips. 25 FIGURE 3 : Front view of the condom and strips rolled up.
FIGURE 4 : Lateral section of the condom and strips rolled up FIGURE 5 : Lateral section of the condom, strips and penis, before the process of application. FIGURE 6 : Lateral section of the condom, strips and penis, after being 30 applied.
Figures 1 and 2 show the condom unrolled (1), and two strips (2), positioned lengthwise, at 180 degrees from each other, along the leπgitudiπal axis 1. These strips are attached to the condom, and rolled up on it, from the bottom to the top, in
\ the direction indicated (3). i 35 After rolling up the condom (1 ) and the strips (2), they acquire the form shown in figures 3 and 4. It can be seen that the remaining extra length of the strips should be long enough to hold with the fingers.
The strips (2) should be made of suitable flexible material and dimensions for the condom, and they may either be an inbuilt part of it or not, besides being either detachable or not.
The necessary precautions and conditions, to be taken in using the condom with the applier, should be the same as specified by the manufacturer, for use without the device, object of this petition.
To apply the condom utilizing the applier, it should be placed on the penis glan (4), as shown in figure 5, and holding the ends of the strips (2) with the fingertips, pull the strips from the top to the base of the penis (5), which will cause the condom to unroll util it reaches the necessary place. Figure 6 shows the condom (1 ) and the strips (2) after it has been put in place.
As can be gathered, the condom applier is an extremely simple appliance, ver easy to use, triat adds very little to the cost of the finished product. It can be said th it will result in an increase in sales, both due to its being a novelty on the market, as well as that the use of condoms, by reason of their being practical, safe and comfortable, contributes to reducing sexually transmissible diseases.
Therefore, the applier which is the object of this application, fully meets the requirement of newness, and therefore deserves the privilege of being patented as an invention, for it is a concept for a product that does not exist on the market.
