Description
DESCRIPTION "AN INTEGRATED SYSTEM FOR THE EXCHANGE OF THE RECHARGEABLE ELECTRIC ACCUMULATORS FOR VEHICLES"
The present invention concerns an integrated system for the exchange of accumulators on electrically fed vehicles.
The present invention derives from the need of providing in very short times for the replacing of the batteries of flat accumulators with recharged ones, and at the same time to appropriately store the flat batteries and to recharge them.
The aim set forth is reached by means of the system according to the present invention that provides the application of support and guide means for the batteries in the three components forming the integrated system according to the present invention: the frame of the electric vehicle, built around said support and guide means for the batteries, a trolley or similar for carrying the batteries to the storage and vice versa,
a plant for the storing and recharging of the batteries .
The advantages of the system according to the present invention are many and important: the application of the system according to the present invention allows the energetic recharging of the electric vehicles in very short times , comparable to the time employed for filling up the tank in combustion vehicles ; the exchanging process of the batteries is easy and functional ; the cost of the integrated system is rather low.
The system according to the present invention will be explained more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings , in which a preferred embodiment is shown.
Figure 1 shows a scheme of the three components of the integrated system according to the present invention .
Figures 2 , 3 , 4 show in detail each of the components of the integrated system according to the present invention .
The present invention concerns an integrated system for the exchange of the rechargeable electric accumulators for vehicles, mainly comprising a support and guide means for the accumulatos A, consisting of a metal plate 1 having incorporated, through eyelets 2, a plurality of parallel rows of small wheels 3 that form the sliding base of housings 4 provided around the structure of the electric vehicle V, of housings 5 provided on multiple planes of the trolley C, and of housings 6 provided with means 7, 9 for the recharging, forming the storing structure .
The presence of said plates 1 with small wheels 3 in all above mentioned components allows the sliding transfer of the flat accumulators A from the housings 4 of the vehicle V to the housings 5 of the trolley C and from these, after an automatic or manual movement, into the housings 6 of storage M. Obviously, the opposite transfer of the recharged accumulators A from the storage M to the vehicle V, by means of the trolley C, will take place in a similar manner.
The system according to the present invention is completed by the following components, shown in the figures and useful for the functioning of the system:
distancing elements 8 for preventing bumps and vibrations of the accumulators A with respect to housings 4, 5 and 6; connecting means plug-tap 7, 9 for charging the accumulators A in the structure M and for their application in vehicles V; blocking means 10, with pins or similar, for keeping the accumulators A in their housings 4 in the vehicles V; doors 11 provided around the frame of the vehicle V for the access to accumulators A in housings 4, having orthogonal, parallel or inclined direction with respect to the symmetry axis of the vehicle V.
