Abstract
The device according to the present invention consists of a rectangular cloth (1) separated into three four-sided portions (A-B-C) by means of two transversal bags (2, 3) bound to said cloth in the lower part thereof in correspondence to the body of the vehicle (AV), and that will receive corresponding shapes (4) of spongy and elastic material, so as to maintain said cloth (1) lifted from said vehicle's body, forming an air-chamber (5) for the thermic insulation between said cloth and said body. Beyond additive means (13) for the lateral protection of said vehicle (AV) and means (12) for hooking the same to said body, the device according to the present invention provides means (8 and 9) of antitheft protection provided onto said cloth (1).
Description
DESCRIPTION "A DEVICE FOR THE PROTECTION OF PARKED VEHICLES COMPRISING A REMOVABLE CLOTH WITH A HOLLO SPACE"
The present invention concerns a device comprising a removable cloth for the protection, with a hollow space obtained between the cloth and the body, of parked vehicles from atmospheric and polluting agents.
The prior art as well as the marketing provide a plurality of cloths of different kinds that may be applied to vehicles, which are either too complex and expensive or adhere to the body of the vehicle and therefore transfer the heat by contact. All known systems are furthermore easily removable by thieves or similar.
It is the aim of the present invention to solve all above mentioned disadvantages of the known vehicle's coverings by means of an easy, cheap device that can be quickly applied and provided with antitheft means.
7
The -aim set forth is reached by means of the device according to the present invention, comprising a removable rectangular cloth separated into three four- sided portions by means of two transversal bags bound to the cloth in the lower part thereof in correspondence to the body of the vehicle, and that will receive, at the moment of application, correspondent shapes of spongy and elastic material that will maintain said cloth lifed from said body thus forming an air-chamber acting as insulator between the cloth and the body. Beyond additive means for the lateral protection of the vehicle and means for hooking said cloth to the body of the vehicle, the device according to the present invention provides also means for antitheft protection that are applied boundly to said cloth.
The advantages obtained by means of the device according to the present invention mainly consist in that said device represents, with a minimum of transport and storage encumbrance, an air-chamber insulating structure, once it has been applied, for the protection of the parked vehicles from atmospheric and polluting agents and furthermore is provided with an extremely easy but efficient antitheft means.
The device according to the present invention will be explained more in detail hereinbelow according to the enclosed drawings in which a preferred embodiment is shown.
Figure 1 shows a plant view of a device according to the present invention, comprising a removable cloth for the protection of parking vehicles from atmospheric and polluting agents.
Figure 2 shows an axonometric view of a component having a rectangular structure, and applied onto a vehicle.
Figure 3 shows the application of the device according to the present invention comprising the lateral protection means.
The enclosed figures show a device comprising a removable cloth for the protection of parked vehicles AV from atmospheric and polluting agents, mainly consisting of:
- a rectangular cloth 1, waterresistant or eventually of plastic material, separated in adjacent four-sided portions A-B-C due to the presence of transversal bags 2, 3 bound to said cloth at the lower part thereof and filled up with the correspondent shapes 4;
- two shapes 4 of foam-rubber or any other suitable material, that may be inserted into said transversal bags 2, 3 having the function of distancing said cloth 1 from the body of the vehicle AV so as to form air- chambers 5 for the thermic insulation;
- two end reinforcements 6, 7 for said cloth 1, consisting of tubes or rods of plastic material for maintaining said cloth 1 stretched;
- a plurality of tie-rods 8 provided in correspondence with the edges of the central quadrilateral A of cloth 1, consisting of a resistant metal chase and ending up in a stop element 9 like a small ball or similar, forming an efficient antitheft means for the whole cloth once said small balls are inserted inside the vehicle through the closing of the doors of vehicle AV;
- a plurality of end ropes 10 with hooks 11 for the application to the bumper and other parts of the vehicle's body;
- a plurality of eyelets and hooks, or snap-fasteners 12, placed all along the edge of said cloth 1 for the eventual application of the lateral accessories 13.
In the variant according to figure 3 it is provided that the protection structure is completed by accessory cloths 13 which, by means of eyelets and hooks or snap-
fasteners corresponding to said elements 12, provided all along said cloth 1, are laterally applied so as to obtain also the lateral closing and protection of the parked vehicle AV.
In possible further variants said transversal bags 2, 3 and the corresponding shapes 4 may be devided in two parts for encumbrance reasons.
For what concerns the distancers, instead of the shapes 4 of spongy and elastic material already described, the device according to the present invention provides the application, for the same purposes, of tubes and shapes, that might be telescopic or even not, of plastic or metal materials or even inflatable structures.
Claims
1. A device comprising a removable cloth for the protection of parked vehicles, provided with a hollow space, characterized in:
