Abstract
Des cations de nickel et/ou de cuivre peuvent être extraits de leurs solutions aqueuses qui contiennent également des agents de chélation, par extraction liquide-liquide au moyen d'un solvant organique contenant des agents d'extraction complexants pour le nickel et/ou le cuivre. Cependant, avec les agents d'extraction complexants les plus efficaces, à savoir les cétoximes et les aldoximes phénoliques, le pH des solutions aqueuses devant être extraites doit être sensiblement plus alcalin que dans les techniques actuelles pour l'extraction de solutions avec environ les mêmes quantités de métaux extractables mais sans agents de chélation. Un appareil pour réaliser ce procédé d'extraction comprend un réservoir destiné à contenir en permanence un solvant organique, et une pluralité de pompes et de vannes conçues pour transférer la solution de départ aqueuse depuis une source de cette solution vers le réservoir du solvant organique, pour qu'elle se mélange avec lui, le procédé consistant ensuite à évacuer le produit raffiné, puis à transférer la solution de régénérant dans le réservoir de solvant organique pour régénérer le solvant, et à évacuer ensuite la solution de régénérant utilisée.
