Abstract

Described is a pile-fabric floor-covering for sports surfaces, in particular synthetic-grass surfaces. The floor-covering has a substrate sheet which has apertures in it and is therefore permeable to water. Attached to the substrate by needling is a sheet of fibrous material. Also attached to the substrate are pile elements which form the pile. To extend the length of time the floor-covering can be played on after being dampened, the sheet of fibrous material is attached to the underside of the substrate, and tufts of fibres produced when the sheet of fibrous material is needled project up from the sheet of fibrous material through the substrate.

Erfindungsgemäß läßt sich diese Aufgabe dadurch lösen, daß an der Unterseite der Trägerbahn eine angenadelte Fasermaterial¬ bahn angeordnet wird und beim Annadeln der Fasermaterialbahn erzeugte Faserbüschel von der Fasermaterialbahn nach oben durch die Trägerbahn hindurchragen. Besonders vorteilhaft ist es, wenn die beim Annadeln nach oben durch die Trägerbahn hindurchgestoßenen Faserbüschel in die Bereiche zwischen den eigentlichen Pol hineinragen. Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Bodenbelag übernimmt die Fasermaterialbahn eine doppelte Funktion: Zum einen wirkt sie als Wasserspeicher für auf der Belagsoberfläche anfallendes und durch die wasserdurchlässige Trägerbahn nach unten hindurchgetretenes Wasser, und zum an¬ deren wird, beruhend auf einer Kapillarwirkung, durch die durch die Trägerbahn hindurchragenden Faserbüschel Wasser von der als Wasserspeicher wirkenden Fasermaterialbahn durch die Trägerbahn hindurch zurück in den Bereich der Belagsoberflä¬ che transportiert, sobald diese abzutrocknen droht, und zwar insbesondere dann, wenn der Bodenbelag bespielt und dadurch von oben Druck auf ihn ausgeübt wird, was zu einem Zusammen- ' pressen der Fasermaterialbahn in dem bespielten Bereich führt. Das Wasserspeicher- und Rückhaltevermögen der Faser- materialbahn läßt sich durch eine entsprechende Wahl z. B. der folgenden Parameter bestimmen und auswählen: Dicke, Dich¬ te und Struktur der Fasermaterialbahn sowie Art der Fasern, aus welchen sie hergestellt wird. Bei der Fasermaterialbahn könnte es sich z. B. um einen Filz oder ein Fasergewirke handeln, noch bessere Ergebnisse lassen sich aber mit einem Faservlies erreichen., welches ein Vielfaches seines Eigengewichts an Wasser speichern kann. Das Annadeln eines Faservlieses an die Trägerbahn eines Kunstrasens ist an sich bekannt (DE-A-29 35 387); bei diesem bekannten Kunstrasen ist das Faservlies jedoch auf die Ober¬ seite der Trägerbahn des als Tuftingware ausgebildeten Kunst¬ rasens aufgenadelt, und die beim Aufnadeln des Faservlieses durch die Trägerbahn hindurchgestoßenen Faserbüschel ragen zwischen den Verankerungsfußen der Polelemente dieses bekann¬ ten Kunstrasens nach unten aus dessen Trägerbahn heraus. Bei diesem bekannten Kunstrasen soll das Faservlies zum einen dem Zweck dienen, die Trägerbahn abzudecken, so daß deren Farbe von oben nicht sichtbar ist, und zum anderen haben die von oben nach unten durch die Trägerbahn hindurchgedrückten Fa¬ sern beim Aufbringen einer Beschichtungsmasse auf die Unter¬ seite der Trägerbahn eine abweisende Wirkung auf die Be¬ schichtungsmasse, so daß die für die Wasserdurchlässigkeit des Kunstrasens erforderlichen Öffnungen in der Trägerbahn durch die Rückenbeschichtungsmasse zumindest nicht vollstän¬ dige verschlossen werden. The drawing shows a carrier web 10 designed as a tufting base fabric, which in the present case was made from plastic tapes 10a and whose water permeability can be ensured in a wide variety of ways, e.g. B. by the width and density of the plastic tapes 10a, ie. by the transverse spacing of the plastic tapes forming the warp and weft threads from one another. Pole elements 12, the anchoring feet 12 a of which are located on the back of the carrier web 10, were introduced into the carrier web 10 using the tufting method. A nonwoven fabric layer 14 was then needled onto the carrier web 10 from below, as a result of which holes 10b were produced in the carrier web 10 and pushed through these fiber tufts 14a. By needling the fibrous nonwoven layer 14 not only was it attached to the carrier web 10, but the water permeability of the carrier web was also increased and at the same time it was ensured that water stored in the fibrous nonwoven layer 14 by a capillary effect caused by the fiber tufts 14a the area between the pile threads formed by the free end areas of the pile elements 12 can be conveyed.

Claims

A N S P R U C H E EXPECTATIONS
1. Als Polware ausgebildeter Bodenbelag für Sportflächen, insbesondere Kunstrasen, mit einer Öffnungen aufweisen¬ den und deshalb wasserdurchlässigen Trägerbahn, einer an diese angenadelte Fasermaterialbahn sowie mit an der Trägerbahn befestigten, den Pol bildenden Polelementen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Fasermaterialbahn (14) an der Unterseite der Trägerbahn (10) angeordnet ist und beim Annadeln der Fasermaterialbahn erzeugte Faserbü¬ schel (14a) von der Fasermaterialbahn nach oben durch die Trägerbahn hindurchragen.1.
