  • This invention relates to a method and apparatus for selectively feeding web stock. This approach permits endless stock feeding.
  • the reservoir of web stock which supplies a stock handling machine is commonly a rolled web of stock material.
  • the machine may be stopped and rethreaded with another roll.
  • the machine may be stopped and the leading portion of the web of another roll spliced to the first roll and then the web of the first roll severed from the roll behind the splice.

With perforated stock, the stock reservoir may comprise a stack of stock which is a continuous zig-zag web.
