Abstract

A screw cap (1) with tamperproof element, in particular for wide-necked containers (2), comprises a closure cap which can be screwed onto the neck (5) of the container. The tamperproof element consists of a visible or palpable tamperproof feature on the screw cap, which is irreversibly formed by deformation of a part of the closure cap (6) when the closure is turned in order to open the container or by locking of parts of the closure cap.
