Abstract
For many applications, known planetary gear trains have too great a play on the tooth flanks, especially when used as positioning drives for robots. The present invention addresses the problem of developing a planetary gear train in which the play on the tooth flanks is negligible. This is achieved by the fact that both the ring gear (12, 13) or the sun gear (37, 37') and the planetary gears (14, 15) are separated radially into two partial gears so that, as appropriate, one ring partial gear or one sun partial gear meshes with the corresponding planetary partial gears, and by the fact that before positioning of the ring partial gears or sun partial gears on the gear housing (10) the partial gears of one group (12, 14) are turned to the left and those of the other group (13, 15) are turned to the right until the tooth flanks of the ring partial gears or sun partial gears are applied against those of the planetary partial gears and the tooth flanks of the planetary partial gears are applied against those of the sun gear (17) or of the ring gear (33).

PlanetengetriebePlanetary gear
The invention relates to a planetary gear according to the preamble of claim 1 or 3.
The most precisely worked known planetary gears of this type have a backlash of up to 3 arc minutes. This represents a significant improvement over conventional planetary gears, the backlash of which is approximately 15 arc minutes. However, this backlash is still too large to be used as an actuator for robots with long actuating arms, since it leads to variations in the positioning of the robot tool of up to 1 mm if the lever arm of the robot is 1 m long. From Japanese patent specification 59-147142, a special planetary gear without a sun gear is known, which enables the radially split ring gear to be adjusted in order to reduce the backlash. For this purpose, the two hollow part wheels can be shifted against each other in the direction of rotation by an eccentric pin. At the same time, the planet carrier in which the planet gears are mounted is designed to be slightly eccentric, so that the axes of the planet gears are radially displaced. The play of the fixed hollow part wheel can be reduced by the first measure, and that of the rotatable hollow part wheel by the second measure.
However, these measures have an unfavorable effect on the running of the planetary gear, so that they are not suitable for precision gears.
The present invention was therefore based on the object of developing a planetary gear with high precision, the tooth flank backlash of which can be set to almost zero without the precision of the gear suffering as a result.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features in the characterizing part of claims 1 and 3, respectively.
When assembling the planetary gear according to the invention, first one of the two hollow part wheels or sun part wheels is fixed and then the other hollow part wheel or sun part wheel is rotated until on the one hand the flanks of its teeth on the tooth flanks of the corresponding corresponding planetary part gears and on the other hand the tooth flanks of the planetary part gears rest against those of the sun gear or the ring gear. Theoretically, this can only be achieved for one pair of planet wheels and not for all pairs of planet wheels at the same time. However, since these are consistently precision gears, it can be assumed in practice that the teeth of the individual gears are machined so precisely, if necessary, that they are lapped in so that no measurable deviations in the position of the tooth flanks occur. Therefore, even if there are several planetary gear pairs, the tooth flanks of all planetary gear pairs will come into contact with those of the sun or ring gear at the same time. The problem of the known planetary gears therefore does not lie in the machining accuracy of the tooth flanks, but in the play between two intermeshing gear wheels which unavoidably occurs during assembly.
The invention is described and explained in more detail below with reference to two exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing.

The planetary gear according to FIGS. 1 and 2 has two housing shells 10 and 11 which hold the actual planetary gear with the two hollow part wheels 12 and 13, the three planetary part wheels 14 and 15 evenly distributed over the circumference, a planet carrier 1b and one Sun gear 17 included as a central gear. The planetary gear 14 in the exemplary embodiment has the same width as the ring gear 12, the planetary gear 15 the same width as the hollow gear 13. The sun gear 17 is seated on the driving shaft 18, which is held by ball bearings 19 in the housing shell 10, while the tarpaulin tträger 1b, in which the planetary gear wheels 15 and 16 are mounted, is seated on the driven shaft 20, which is supported by ball bearings 21 in the housing shell 11.
The ring gear 12 is rigidly attached to the housing shell 10 by means of screws 22. The planetary part wheels 14 and 15 are arranged with respect to the hollow part wheels 12 and 13 so that the three planetary part wheels 14 mesh with the hollow part wheel 12 and the three planetary part wheels 15 with the hollow part wheel 13.
As can be seen in FIG. 2, the hollow part wheel 13 can also be fixed to the housing shell 10 by means of a screw 30 which is under spring pressure and which has an azimuthal component. It can be rotated relative to the ring gear 12 by means of the screw. In order to switch off the tooth flank backlash of the planetary gear, ie to reduce it to a value close to zero arc minutes, after the planetary gear has been installed in the housing shell 10, the hollow part wheel 12 is first fixed to the housing shell 10 by means of the screws 22 in such a way that its teeth are connected to one of them Flanks on the corresponding the tooth flanks of the planetary gear 14 and its teeth rest with a flank on the corresponding tooth flanks of the sun wheel 17, so that the play between these teeth is switched off.
Then the hollow part wheel 13 is rotated by means of the screw 30 until both its teeth with the tooth flank pointing to the other side on the corresponding tooth flanks of the planetary part wheel 15, and its tooth with its other flank on the corresponding flanks of the teeth of the sun wheel 17 issue. In this position, the screw 30 is locked.
Between the hollow part wheels 12 and 13 and the planetary part wheels 14 and 15 on the one hand and the planetary part wheels 14 and 15 and the sun wheel 17 on the other hand, any backlash is eliminated, i.e. reduced to the minimum required for the run of the planetary gear. This occurs for all three planetary gear pairs 14, 15 at the same time, since all gears are machined with the highest precision and, if necessary, lapped.
In the planetary gear according to the second embodiment according to FIG. 3, instead of the ring gear, the sun gear is divided radially into two sun gear wheels 37 and 37 'which mesh with the planet gear wheels 14 and 15, respectively. The one-piece ring gear 33 is fixed to the housing shell 10 by a screw 32. The rest of the structure corresponds to that of the first embodiment, so that the same reference numerals are used for the same parts. After assembly of the transmission, the sun gear 37 is first fixed and then the sun gear 37 'is rotated until the tooth flank play between all gear wheels or gear wheels are switched off. In this position, the sun gear 37 'is fixed relative to the sun gear 37 by a screw 3ö.
The invention was explained above using a simple planetary gear. Of course, it is possible to construct a multi-stage gear from several simple gears according to the invention, which then has the same advantages of a minimal backlash as a simple gear according to the invention. Such multi-stage gearboxes naturally also fall within the scope of protection of this patent.
