DESIGN FOR SHAWL.

Specification forming part of Design No. 6,392, dated February 11, 1873.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that FREDERICK WINK, ot' the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented a Design fora Shawl-Pattern, of which the following is a specification:

The accompanying drawing represents snfficient ot' a shawl-pattern to illustrate in y design, the principal features of which are the alternate wide and narrow stripes A and B and intervening plain body 0, the said stripes being variegated in shade or color, and each com posed of a number of minor parallel stripes, ilill'S, or ribs, of varying widths, some being strongly contrasted, and others blended or shaded into each other, as shown. The wide stripe A has at each side of its center a two parallel ribs, 1) b, the central portion of each of which is occupied by a series of rectangular or oblongdots, presenting the appearanceol" a broken longitudinal stripe. The central rib (I of the stripe B is similar to the ribs 1).

Irrespective ot'the colors em ployed, I claim- 1. The design for the stripe A, as represent ed.

2. The design for the whole pittern, inelnd ing the stripes A and B.
