DESIGN FOR A CARPET-PATTERN.

Specification forming part of Design No. 5,682, dated March 19, 1872.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, LEVI G. MALKIN, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented or produced a. new and original Design for a Pattern to be Inwrought into Ingrain and other Carpeting, in colors similar to those painted on the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification, or in other colors substituted in the place of those painted on the drawing or photograph herewith; and I do hereby decla-re that the drawing accompanying this specification docs give and conveyv to any one skilled in the art of carpet-Weaving a defined and thorongh description of the nature of my invention, :md is sufficient to enable any one skilled in the art ot' carpet-weaving to use my invention.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The configuration of the design hereunto annexed, when applied to carpeting in the form similar to the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification.
