DESIGN FOR STOVB-ORNAMENT.
The Ecledule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the sama 1', ISAAC A. SHEPPARD, of Philadelphia, county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a Design for a Stove-Ornamen t, of which the following is a specification.
General Description.
The figure in the accompanying drawing represents my design for a stove-ornament, the principal feature oi'and central object in which consists of the figure of a man ascendinga rocky hill, and carrying a ag bearing the word Excelsior, the figure and its adj uncts being cast in relief on and forming part of the plate of a stove.
This principal figure occupies a position within a scroll and foliated ornament, the design of which is too clearly illustrated in the drawing to need description.
