DESIGN FOR SATCHBL-FASTENING.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, GEORGE SIEBEN, of Newark, in the county of Essex, and Stateof New Jersey, have invented a new Design for a Satchel-Fastening; and l do hcreby declare that. the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had tothe acconipanyingdrawing, forming partof this specification, and in which- Figure 1 is a. face-view of the fastening included in my design;
Figure 2 is a profile of the same, perpendicular to fig. l; and f Figure 3, a sectional View thereof', taken as indicated by the line a; zr, in iig. l.

The fastening, in its general outline or contour, is that of a flat hook, with n. partialhl circular swell or extension, a, from its back edge, the face ot' said extension lying in the saine plane as thatoftlle body of' the hook, and being chaintered offen its edge, in common with the edge of said body, as at b.
Mounted ou the face of said extension, and in concentric relation with the latter, is a protuberftnce, c, of general circular form, and of slightly concave shape on its edges, as at d.
The face of said protubemnce is rounded on its edge, as at e, and ornitmented within such rounded edge by a circular bead, f, of angular shape in its transverse section, and from the inner edge of the brise of which projects a central conical portion, g, terminating at top in a semi or partially globular excresence, 1i, which projects above the general outside level or face of the whole prot uherance c.
