DESIGN FOR COVERIN G- TRUNKS.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, J ONATHAN SMITH EATON, of Boston, county ot' Suffolk, and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Covering for Trunks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.

My object is to produce a cheap imitation of trunk patented by me January 7,1868. The trunk then patented was covered with strips of wood. This construction makes a very superior truuk, but expensive. Now, as the style is desirable, I have found that a paper covering, in imitation of my patent trunk, would be desirable also.

Figure 2 represents a sheet of imitation covering.

The covering is made to represent wood laid on in strips.
