UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EUGENE PRINGLE, OF GLOVERSVILLE, NEW YORK, ASSIGNOR TO BRADT SHIPMAN, OF DEKALB, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A BACK MEMBER FOR GLOVE SOCKET-FASTENERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 34,535, dated May 21, 1901.
Application filed February 26, 1900. Serial No. 6,644. Term of patent 14 years.
To a whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EUGENE PRINGLE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Gloversville, in the county of Fulton and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Back Member of a Glove Socket-Fastener; and I do hereby declare thefollowing to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
In the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification, Figure 1 represents a perspective view of the back member of a glove-socket for a glove-fastener, showing my new design, and Fig. 2 is a cross-section of the same, both views being taken on a considerably-enlarged scale to more clearly illustrate the shape or configuration of the article.
The design pertains to the shape of the article, and its characteristic features may be defined as follows: open-ended frnsto-conical shells reversely disposed one within the other and uniting in an angular ridge.
In the drawings the reference-letter a designates the outer shell, and b the inner shell, reversely disposed within the former and of somewhat less height, the said shells being united in an angular ridge 0 and. forming between them a substantially V-shaped annular groove 61. The open smaller end of the inner shell I) affords a central opening e through the article.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
The design for the back member of a glove socket-fastener, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature 40 in presence of two witnesses.
EUGENE PRINGLE.
