DESIGN FOR A VEHICLE-WHEEL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,684, dated October 17, 1899. Application filed August 21, 1899. Serial No. 728,017. Term of patent 7 years.

lie it known that I, ELWOOD C. lnlLLIPs, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the countyof Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Vehicle-VVheels, (Case B and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a view one-half in section and one-half in end elevation, and Fig. 2 a side elevation.
This invention relates to adesign for wheels for buggies and other light vehicles; and my said design consists in the structural configuration hereinafter described and illustrated in the drawings.
Referring to the drawings, 1 represents the wheel-tire, the outer portion of which is cylindrical in cross-section, while the inner portion 2 is rectangular in cross-section and in tegrally connected with the outer portion by a central web I), so as to leave at each side of the tire a concentric annular recess.
4' is the wheel-hub, and (i the felly, connected together by the series of radial spokes 5.
7 are a pair of annular plates or rings arranged at opposite sides of the rim or felly 6 and formed with inturned annular beads or flanges 8 on their outer edges to engage in the respective annular recesses in the sides of the tire.
I claim The design for a vehicle-wheel, as herein shown and described.
