DESIGN FOR AN lNSECT-EXTERMINATOR.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,528, dated April 11, 1899.

Application filed March 13, 1899. Serial No. 708,967. Term of patent 14 years.

To (all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ELIJA H H. IIIGHTOWER, a citizen of the United States, residing at C0- lumbus, in the county of Colorado and State of Texas, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for an Insect-Exterminator, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to a new and original design for an insect-extermiuator; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.

The leading feature of the design resides in an insect-exterininator having a circular pan and a conical lamp-body arranged centrally within the pan and projcctingabove the planethereof.

The minor features of the design are the circular pan having a peripheral upstanding vertical flange, the conical lamp-body provided at its apex with a circular opening, and a conical stem connection between the lower side of the lamp-body and the upper side of the pan at the center of the latter.

In the drawings, Figure 1. is a perspective view of an inscct-cxtorlninator embodying the design contemplated by the present in vention. Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof. Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view on the line 3 3 of Fig. 2.

Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates a circular pan having a flat bottom and a peripheral upstanding vertical flange 2. Arranged centrally within the circular pan 1 is a conical lamp-body 3, the wide base portion of which body is disposed within the plane of the pan, while the apex of the body projects above the plane of the flange of the pan. At its apex the said conical lamp-body 3 is provided with a circular opening a, and a conical stem connection 5 is located between the lower side of the lamp-body and the upper side of the pan at the center of the latter.
