UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
\VILLIAM llEIl OF AKRON, ()llIO.
DESIGN FOR AN EAVES-TROUGH HANGER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,108, dated January 31, 1899.
Application filed August 19, 1898. Serial N0- 689,019. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it Hwy concern:
Be it known that I, \VILLIAM Help, a citizen of the United States, residing at Akron, in the county of Summit and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for an Eaves-'Irough Hanger, of which the following is a specification.
As shown in the drawings, in which Figure 1 is a side elevation and Fig. 2 a front elevation, my design presents the appearance of three wires 1, 7, and 10, peculiarly bent and retained by a fastening-pin. The peculiar appearance of bending of the several wires presents the wire 1 as bent at the center in a loop 2 and then alternately inward and out ward, touching and forming loops 3 4 5, and a further loop 6 at a right angle with the former loops, and above this last loop it appears twisted for a considerable length, and the ends bent downward parallel with each other and the apparently twisted portion, and bent and fastened in the loop 6. This upper portion is bent outward at an angle of about sixty degrees, and the portion representing the second wire 7 appears bent at its center, so that the two halves lie parallel, curved to inclose the roll of the trough at the point 8, and thence curved to conform to the trough and bent alternately inward and outward, forming loops 3 4: of the other portion, and with its free ends twisted together and bent forward and downward to form a book 9, adapted to engage and hold the back of the trough. The wires 1 and 7 are apparently united by a third wire 10, bent at its center to form a loop 11, small enough to enter the loops 3 4, and thence bent at a right angle and again upward at the point 12 and its ends bent upward at 13. These bent ends appear passed through the loop 4 of the wire 1 and 7and rocked down, withits looped end passed through the loop 3 and retained bya nail 14, passed through the loop 11.
I claim as my invention- The design for an eaves-trough hanger as herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the above I hereunto set my hand.
VVILLIAM IIEIII In presence of (J. E. IIUMPHREY, G. P. IIUMPHREY.
