UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HENRY G. VOIGIIT, OF NEXV BRITAIN, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE RUSSELL 4K3 ERVIN MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A PADLOCK-CASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,701, dated November 22, 1898.
Application filed June 13, 1898. Serial No, 683,366. Term of patent 7 years.
To a whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY G. VOIGHT, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Britain, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented and produceda new and original Design for a Padlock-Case, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a front elevation, Fig. 2 a side elevation, and Fig. 3 a rear elevation, of a padlock-case, showing my design.
The case-body is provided with a shackle which extends from the upper corners thereof.
Surrounding the case at the top is a band or rim 4, with a row of stitching 5 near its lower edge. On the middle portion of the band 4 is a strap 6, with the representation of a buckle 7 near each end at the front of the case. The edges of the case, as seen in side View, extend straight down for abouthalf its length and are then irregular, as if the bottom was flexible and deflected toward one side. On both the front and rear sides there is the representation of a longitudinal riveted seam 8 and a like transverse seam 9 near the bottom. The representation of a strap handle 10 at the bottom shows from the front. As a whole the case-body is in representation of a mail-pouch.
Having now described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a padlock-case as herein shown and described HENRY e. VOIGIIT.
