Description

DESIGN.
J. MUELLER. MUSIC STAND.
No. 24,078. Patented Mar. 5, 1895.
(av/M1 r6 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
J OIIN MUELLER, OF HOT SPRINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA, ASSIGNOR OF ONE-HALF TO EDWARD B. \VARREN, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A MUSIC-STAND.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design NO. 24,078, dated March 5, 1895.
Application filed February 2, 1894. Serial No. 498,924- Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN MUELLER, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Hot Springs, in the county of Fall River and State of South Dakota, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Music-Stands; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this specification.
The design relates to that class or description of folding music stands, which when not in use can be folded up into a compact condition so as to be carried in the hand, suspended by a belt or placed in a rack or display stand, and when so folded up shall present a very ornamental appearance.
In the annexed drawing the figure represents a side elevation of a folded music stand, showing my invention.
In said drawing the reference letter A designates a straight portion at the upper end of which is an enlargement formed with a plain portion A. Above this latter portion, are
two outwardly extending lateral arms E, the under sides of which are formed of a single curve while their upper sides are formed of double or compound curves. Connected with these arms is a vertical arm D, the sides of which are formed of opposite curves, and at the junction of said vertical and lateral arms is an ogee or approximately triangular shaped ornamental plate D.
The essential features of the design consist in the said straight portion A, plain portion A, ornamental lateral and verticalarms E and D, and ogee shaped plate D.
What I claim is- The design for a folding music stand herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own I have hereunto aflixed my signature in presence of two witnesses.
JOHN MUELLER.
