DESIGN FOR A SPOON, 81.0.
SIECIFIGATION forming part of Design No. 23,833, dated December 4, 1894. Application filed September 22, 1 894. Serial No. 523,841. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE W. SHIEBLER, a. citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for the Handles of Spoons, Forks, 850., of which the following is a specification.
The leading feature of my design for the handle of a fork or spoon consists of the combined scroll and shell ornaments disposed around the broad end of the handle, and the shell ornament at thejunction of the handle and bowl upon the reverse side as shown.
In the drawings Figure 1 is aplan of the obverse side, and Fig. 2 is a. plan of the reverse side of a spoon or fork handle.
Upon the obverse side of the handle the scroll and shell ornaments a are in relief near the end of the handle and the scroll and leaflet ornaments e are in relief and disposed along the narrow portion of the handle, and the heads 0 are along the edges of the handle.
Upon the reverse side of the handle the scroll and shell ornaments b are in relief near the end of the handle, the scallop shell ornarnentf is at the junction of the handle with the spoon or fork and the heads (1 are along the edges of the handle.
What I claim is- 1. The design for the handle of a spoon or fork herein shown and described.
2. In the design for the handle of a spoon or fork herein shown and described, the design of the obverse side of the handle as set forth.
3. In the design for the handle of a spoon orfork herein shown and described, the design of the reverse side of the handle as set forth.
