No. 21,760. Patented Aug. 9, 1892..
m'uendo'a UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
DILLON E. MAPOTHER, OF LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY.
DESIGN FOR A CONFECTION.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,760, dated August 9, 1892. Application filed March 7,1892. Serial No. 424,091. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known I, DILLON E. MAPOTHER, of Louisville, in the county of J eiferson, in the State of Kentucky, haveinvented a new and useful Design for Confectionery, of which the following, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a full, clear, and exact description.
My invention is a design for confectionery, as will be hereinafter fully pointed out.
In the annexed drawings, Figure 1 isa perspective view of the design, and Fig. 2 is a bottom plan view.
The leading feature of my design consists in a raised scalloped surface having an irregular outline.
By referring to the drawings it will be noticed that the upper surface A of the lump or article of confectionery is somewhat irregular and is inclined toward the sides, while the edges B are all on the bottom of the lump l and are slightly separated, thus imparting to the lump the appearance and form of a small sea-shell. In order to increase the effectiveness of this appearance, corrugations O are formed upon the surface of the lump, as shown.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, 1s-
Thedesign for a confection, herein described and shown.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my name, in the presence of two attesting witnesses, at Louisville. in the county of J efferson, in the State of Kentucky, this 2d day of March, 1892.
DILLON E. MAPOTHER.
