DESIGN FOR A PEN-HOLDER.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,215, dated October 21, 1890.

Application filed September 25, 1890. Serial No. 366,138. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, EPHRAIM S. JOHNSON, Jr., of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and producedanew and original Design for Pen-Holders, of which the following is a. specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing.

My design relates to that end of the penholder which receives and holds the pen; and it consists in the ornamental configuration thereof hereinafter described.

The rod or barrel A of the holder is polylateral in appearance. At one extremity of said rod or barrel appear, first, a circular band B; second, and adjacent to said bend, a

rounded fillet G, upon the surface of which appears a raised or indented ornamental configuration; third, and adjacent to the fillet (J, a plain rounded fillet D, having one side,

as E, more inclined than the other.

An ornamental marking, substantially as indicated in the drawing, may appeal-on the surface of the barrel A.

I claim The design for a pen-holder, substantially as herein shown and described.
