To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWARD P. BEACH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Brooches or Similar Articles; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
In said drawings, Figure 1 represents a face or plan View of my design for a brooch and other similar articles, and Fig.2 is an end view of the same, similar letters of reference indicating corresponding parts where they occur.
These two views are deemed sufficient to fully illustrate said design, the leading feature of which consists in the peculiar configuration or form of the surface or face of the brooch or other article, as will be hereinafter set forth and claimed.
Referring to said drawings, a, b, and c indicate three wire-like parts formed into or presenting a series of convolutions and curvatures intersecting and intertwined with one another in a peculiar manner or form, the part b presenting a series of curves or arcs of a circle around the outer edge of the design, which intersect with and cross one another, terminating inwardly in a series of convolutions of an ovate form, the part c presenting substantially the same configuration around the central portion of the design, but in a reverse order, the ovate convolutions or lines being intertwined with those of the part b. The part a presents a series of rings encircling each curve or are of the part b and connected by lines which pass through the ovate convolutions of said part b, the center of the design being adapted to receive a gem or other ornament, if desired, as will be seen and understood upon reference to Fig. 1.
