SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,317. dated May 3, 1887.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, EMIL G. SAUER, of the city of Brooklyn, county of Kings, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be Inwronght in Two or Three Ply Ingrain and other Carpeting, in such colors as may be desired; and I do hereby declare that the photographic print accompanying this specification conveys to any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving a clear nnderstandin g of the same, and is suflicient to enable such person to use my invention.
