STOCKING William de Mond, Los Angeles, Calif., assignor to Sanson Hosiery Mills, Inc., Philadelphia, Pa., a corporation of Delaware Application June 10, 1950, Serial No. 10,454

Term of patent 14 years (Cl. D47-7) To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, William de Mond, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Los Angeles, county of Los Angeles, State of California, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a stocking, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, wherein:

Figure 1 is a side elevational view of a stocking showing my new design; and

Figure 2 is an enlarged fragmentary view of the portion of the stocking embraced within the broken line circle of Figure 1.

The present design is characterized by the in corporation in the stocking of a line of stitches formed of a yarn separate and distinct from the yarn or yarns of which the stocking is originally knitted, which said line of stitches is disposed in the heel portion of the stocking to marginally emphasize said heel portion, said stitch yarn being of a weight or denier and of a color sufiicient to render it of pronounced appearance in the stockmg.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a stocking, substantially as shown and described.
