DESIGN FOR THE ORNA MENTATION OF A NEOKSCARF.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 15,920, dated March 3, 1885.-
Application filed December 24, 1884. Term of patent 35 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, Burns WATERHOUSE, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city, county, and State .of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the ornamentation for a Neckscarf, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, in which it is represented.
The body of my scarf is represented of hexagonal form, havinga center-piece, a, of triangular shape, provided with check ornamentation, and flaps b b, divided from the center-piece by folds of Y form. The flaps are shown as gathered together by a band or collar, d, providedwith check ornamentation, and
\ holding them in a narrow contracted neck, e.
c is the neck-strap.
It will be seen that in this design the center-piece a, and the band or collar d are of difierent appearance from the flaps b b, so as to produce a variegated efi'ect.
I clairn- 1. The design for the ornamentation of a neckscarf, as shown and described, the same consisting of a body of hexagonal form, having a center-piece, a, provided-with a check pattern, as shown, flaps b b, divided from the center-piece by folds of Y form, and band or collar d, surrounding the flaps.
