e it known that I, Emil A. Birk, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Buffalo, in the county of Erie and State of New York, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Thumb Rest for Firearms or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming a part thereof.

Fig. 1 is a. top plan view of a thumb rest for firearms showing my new design;

Fig. 2 is a side elevational view; and

Fig. 3 is a rear elevational view.

For illustrative purposes only, the thumb rest is illustrated in operative relation to a revolver, the latter being shown in broken lines in each figure.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a thumb rest for firearms or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
